It is usable: ON the toilet. Placing the HTS on any model of toilet, standard or elongated, enables the user to make use of the same toilet as the rest of the family. Mounting bars make for easy, secure attachment of the chair to the toilet base. Removal is just as easy, no tools required. OVER the toilet. Use the mobile economy base to wheel the HTS over toilets of nearly any size and style, enabling the user to use the same toilet as the rest of the family. Or use the lower stationary base (on toilets up to mobile version also doubles as a shower chair. OFF the toilet. The mobile base and commode pan allow for use of the HTS anywhere not just in the bathroom. As a shower chair. By doubling as a mobile shower chair, the HTS eliminates the need to purchase separate equipment for each activity. The optional tiltinspace model tilts up to 25 supine; the backrest tilts up to 18 recline; and the headrest is adjustable, all providing the ideal showering position for users of every size, shape and ability. ON the toilet OVER the toilet Adjust the height. One frame accommodates both small and medium seats to allow for user s growth. Separate frame for large seat. Adjust the seat depth. The seat depth on the HTS adjusts to fit the user. Adjust the width. The chair s width can be adjusted by adding one or both hip positioners to the armrests. Each armrest can be placed in two positions in the hip positioner allowing further adjustment and room for growth. Adjust the backrest. The backrest can be adjusted 6 forward (for proper toileting position), 6 recline and 18 recline (to assist with showering and hair washing). Easier Lifts and Transfers Lifts and transfers present a major challenge to successful toileting. The HTS makes them easier with a variety of features. The durable footboard, for instance, enables steppivot transfers from the front, while the footboard s flipup capacity and the gasspring forwardtilting seat (up to 5 forward) support an easy transition from sittostand. Lateral transfers are simpler as well, thanks to the removable armrests. Long Lasting and Durable Like all Rifton products, the HTS is designed for many years of service, far beyond the average toilet system. This durability comes from the sturdy stainless steel hardware that makes up the frame, which is welded and powdercoated for added strength. Durability is built into the design of every component from the castors at the bottom to the adjustable headrest at the top. For this reason, Rifton have paid close attention to designing components that give users a sense of safety, security and support. These components include natural contours moulded into the seat and back for added comfort, cushioned integral skin foam padding for the seat and back, gasassisted tiltinspace (5 forward for easier transfer, as well as 25 recline for showering and hair washing), the adjustable backrest (6 forward for proper toileting position, 6 recline and 18 recline to assist with showering and hair washing) and soft material for straps and any other accessory that touches the skin. Always Configurable Accessories There is a range of accessories available to customise the HTS by Rifton into an adaptive toilet chair, a freestanding commode or shower unit to meet the user's needs. Seat and Back Pads Integral skin foam pads are waterproof, cushioned and easily removed for disinfecting. There are 3 types of pads; either open to the rear for larger users, a closed seat back and narrower hole for smaller users, or a nohole seat pad for additional support. Tub Base The bath tub base adds even more versatility to the already versatile HTS. It attaches to the small and medium HTS seats and bases for comfortable showering and hair washing in the bath. Mounting Bar Mobile High Low TiltinSpace Base The HighLow base allows height adjustments between 510mm 780mm via a foot pedal. The HighLow functionality assists with manual handling for the carer and allows access to a range of functions. Mobile TiltinSpace Base The Mobile TiltinSpace base allows the HTS to tilt forward up to 5º for easier transfers and up to 25º backwards for showering and hair washing. Mobile None TiltinSpace Base The Mobile None TiltinSpace base offers a cost effective solution where mobility of the system is needed but the tiltinspace feature is not required. Stationary None TiltinSpace Base The stationary none tiltinspace base offers a cost effective solution where mobility of the system is not required. Available with or without footboard. Use the mounting bar to attach the HTS seat to roundfront or elongated toilets. The easy onandoff feature allows carers to quickly position or remove the HTS seat. Push Handles A set of push handles allows a carer to easily move a user. Headrest The curved headrest provides support for users with limited head control and adjusts in height, A/P positioning, up or down. Butterfly Harness The butterfly harness provides maximum anterior support and thus safety, security and freedom of movement for users who have limited trunk control while sitting. Anterior Support The padded anterior support/tray promotes the forwardleaning positioning that, according to research, best facilitates the toileting process. Arm Rests Arm rests are available in 3 heights and are easily removable for lateral transfers. Lateral / Thoracic Supports Independently adjustable supports to secure users with limited trunk control. Lateral / Thoracic Supports with Chest Strap With the addition of a wide chest strap to the lateral supports, users without upper torso control gain added trunk support and security to help correct spinal alignment. Hip Guides The hip guides tailor the chair to the size and shape of each user, allowing for years of continual use as the user grows. Pan The pan facilitates offtoilet functionality with its generous capacity. Made of durable plastic. Bowl Adaptor For situations where the hole in the HTS does not align perfectly with the toilet, the bowl adaptor in inserted under the seat pad. It can also be used with the large HTS to create a secure fit over a round front toilet. Deflectors Deflectors keep carers and users clean during urination. There are various options available: a low deflector built into the seat cover, a removeable soft standard deflector and a splash guard that is held in place by the seat belt. Abductor By separating the knees and helping to control leg muscles, the abductor prevents scissoring of the legs and promotes good joint and body alignment. Made of soft skin foam, it also holds the deflector in place. Calf Rest The attachable calf rest enhances the user s comfort and sense of security when the footboard is extended and angled upwards. Image shown: Calf Rest attached to footboard with Ankle Straps Ankle Straps Ankle straps secure the feet of those with limited muscle control and excursion movement, enabling a moderate range of movement while improving independence in postural control. Footboard (Use with Mounting Bar Only) The footboard supports the user s feet at the optimal height and angle. The footboard offers four angle settings and adjusts to five heights. It also flips up out of the way for sittostand transfers. Portability Kit The portability kit enables you to take the HTS on the road. Eliminates contact with public toilets for better hygiene.
