Trade & Consumer Market Trends Germany/Austria Online travel bookings are growing swiftly, but travel agents also record solid growth and remain the top sales channel by revenue. Booking the usual components of a vacation online has become increasingly widespread in Germany. TOs are developing new B2B tools in order to give the client flexible booking options. Increased demand for customized and individual consulting, resulting in more and more Germans booking holiday components separately and All inclusive is becoming less popular. Generalists loose market share to mid-sized tour operators and specialists as they are more experienced and trained than travel agents who book via generalists. Sources: drv.de; ITB; FuR; FVW
