PAGE 2 A message To our members GOVERNOR S MESSAGE SENIOR REGENT S MESSAGE Hello Everyone, January went by so fast! I hope those who attended the Winter Wonderland dinner had a good time. Arlis and the WOTM Board did a great job, thank you. This month we have our Valentine s Dinner Dance on the 16th. Please get your tickets now. On the 23rd is the Chili Cook-Off, a benefit for Relay for Life. Come on down to taste and judge chili. If a LOOM member is considering running for a position on the Board of Officers, the nomination forms will be on the bulletin board and in the office. Please turn the form in by the first week in March. We are looking for volunteers to take over the Chef s Delight Wednesday dinner crew, the hot roast beef sandwich or french dip dinner. Bill and Larry will be retiring in May. Let me or the office know if you are interested, so that we can have Bill and Larry show you the prep work on one or two Wednesday Night Dinners. My Super Moose of the month is John Niesen for volunteering to be our new Sports Committee person and taking over taking over the first Friday night dinner for the Sport Committee. Have a Happy New Year! Fraternally Yours, Rick Lutz Hello, Happy February, Well it's that time of year to nominate new WOTM Board members. Please consider volunteering for one of these positions: Sr. Regent, Jr. Regent, Recorder, Secretary/Treasurer, or Chairman. We really need your help to make the lodge a fun place to come to. Remember, we are all about our children, our seniors, and our community. Without you volunteering to help raise money, cook, clean and basically everything else we can't make it. Chairmen work a breakfast, sell pies every Wednesday, do a light dinner twice a month and one fundraiser dinner/ dance a month. The chairmen usually have two months of this; but you have an officer there to help you. You are never alone to do these functions. All the officers will help you. I know it sounds like a lot but consider the rewards of knowing you are supporting our lodge, Mooseheart and Moosehaven. Please ask any WOTM officer if you are interested. Coming up in February are the Valentines dinner/dance on Feb. 16; Birthday dinner/dance on Feb. 21, and our Annual Chili Cook off on Feb. 23. Please sign up for the chili cook off with Tara Croghan. And don't forget to get your birthday tickets early as they sell out very quickly. Put on your best red dress and celebrate Valentines with your favorite person at the lodge. One of our long time kitchen crews is retiring. We really someone to step up and continue the tradition or else we may not have roast beef on Wednesdays; won't you help?? Our roast beef has always been the best. My Special Moosette for February is Kathy Skaggs for all her help decorating and cleaning up. Thank you very much. Well that's it for now, see you at all the functions. Doreen Rosales Senior Regent Administrators Report The Holidays are past and busy as they were we won t see things slowing down much. Along with our regular meals we will be have the Valentine D/D and the Chili Cook-Off. And along that line I will mention that we are looking for volunteers, especially to help in the kitchen. Just a few hours a month is all that s needed. We will be happy to train you. Nomination of officers is beginning this month. If you are interested submit a letter of intent. Forms will be available in the office. In March we will be voting on the new officers and going to convention in Reno. April will be installation of officers and the last month of our fiscal year. Come and enjoy your lodge. Gary Gildemeister Administrator

We plan on removing the entrance and hallway paneling, repairing the walls, texturing, priming and painting. In order for this to happen we will need to remove everything from the walls and protect/store the items so nothing gets damaged. This project will obviously cause some disruption, though we hope to keep it to a minimum. If you would like to help call me at 530-713-8874 or email yubacitymoose@gmail.com.
