ENGEN/HINTERLAND ABUDHABI F1 GRAND PRIX COMPETITION Two lucky participants can each win a trip for two to the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix in November 2018 with Engen at participating Hinterland filling stations. To be entered into the competition and qualify for the prize sponsored by Engen, simply spend an average of R1 500 or more per month on fuel purchased from 1 June 2018 to 30 September 2018 on account at Hinterland Fuels branded sites supplied by Engen. COMPETITION RULES 1. Participants: Any existing and new customer of Hinterland SA (Pty) Ltd ( Hinterland ) who holds a month account or a cash account with Senwes Credit or Unigro may participate and will be included in the competition, subject to the terms and conditions contained below. 2. Participants will be divided into the following two categories and the winner drawn in each category will receive the prize as detailed above: 2.1 Category A participant: Any existing customer of Hinterland who is the holder of a month account or a cash account with Senwes Credit or Unigro at the start of business on 1 June 2018. 2.2 Category B participant: Any new or existing customer of Hinterland who opens a new month account or cash account with Senwes Credit or Unigro between 1 June 2018 and 31 August 2018. Applications for new accounts will be subject to the requirements of the credit provider concerned, which may include credit checks. Approval for the opening of an account will be in the sole discretion of the service provider concerned. 3. Two prizes, as described above, can be won, one each by Category A participants and Category B participants. 4. Anybody who meets the criteria for a Category A or Category B participant will be included as a participant in the competition, except directors, employees, agents, consultants of or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by 1
Engen or Hinterland or the spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members of such persons. 5. To be entered into the competition and qualify for the prize, participants must between 1 June 2018 and 30 September 2018 spend on average at least R1 500 per month on the purchase fuel (petrol and/or diesel) on account at the premises of any participating Hinterland filling station included in the list of participating filling stations attached hereto. 6. Only fuel purchases made at the premises of participating filling stations on month account or cash account held with Senwes Credit or Unigro will qualify for purposes of the competition. Purchases made on production credit, revolving credit or any other account or facility and purchases paid for by any other means are explicitly excluded. 7. Each prize comprises a trip for the winner and a partner to the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix in November 2018, including airfares, transfers, three nights accommodation in a three star rating hotel in Abu Dhabi and tickets to the main event. Details of the prize are provided below. 8. Neither Engen nor Hinterland can be held liable for any damage or loss of any nature suffered by persons entering the competition, including damage or loss of any nature suffered by the winners and their partners during the trip. 9. Winners may be requested by Engen and/or Hinterland to be available for future advertising purposes, which may include the publication of the winner s photograph and particulars in promotional material and on social media pages. 10. Winners have to ensure at own costs that all required passports and visas are ready at least 10 days before the departure date, failing which the winner will forfeit the prize without any claim against the sponsor related to the prize, including any costs already incurred by the winner. 11. The prize is subject to change by the sponsors due to unforeseen circumstances. 12. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or for another event and is not transferable to another party. 13. The competition will run from 1 May 2018 until 30 September 2018. Within 10 (ten) days after the closing date the participants in each category who qualify for the prize will be determined by Hinterland in conjunction with Engen and verified by Hinterland s 2
auditors. The particulars of qualifying participants in each category will be entered into a draw and a winner for each category will be drawn from the pool of entries for each category by means of a lucky draw. 14. The draw will take place at... on... and will be overseen by an auditor employed by Engen and Hinterland, who will also be the judge of the competition. The winners will be notified telephonically and by way of email to their numbers and email addresses according to the records of Senwes Credit or Unigro, as the case may be. Participants should ensure that those details are correct and up to date. Neither Engen nor Hinterland can be held responsible if a winner cannot be reached due to incorrect information or after reasonable attempts to do so have been made. 15. If a winner cannot be reached within three business days after the draw, or if the winner declines the prize/does not accept the prize, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner will be drawn. 16. The ruling of the judges will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into regarding any dispute. 17. Accommodation Three nights accommodation in a three star hotel within walking distance from the grand prix circuit, including breakfast only. All other meals will be for the cost of the winners. Entrance to the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix Two tickets to the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix circuit on... November 2018 / the day of the main race / warm-ups????? (Details of the tickets to be included) Transport The prize includes transfers from the airport in Abu Dhabi to the hotel and back. The winners will be responsible for all other transport related to the prize and for the costs involved, including transportation to and from OR Tambo International Airport in South Africa. Baggage The prize includes one standard size travelling bag/suitcase and one piece of hand baggage per person. Any costs relating to extra or overweight baggage will be borne by the winner. Spending money The winners will each receive R3 000 in cash before departure to assist with expenses not included in the prize. Travelling documentation The winners are responsible for valid passports, visas and travelling insurance, including any costs in relation thereto/associated therewith. Excluded The prize includes only the costs and items explicitly set out above. Any other costs or expenses relating to the trip will be for the account of the winners, including, but not limited to, meals, refreshments, tips, entertainment, taxi or other transportation costs not mentioned above, insurance cover, passports, visas and etcetera.
