Popular Choice saw some great Bromeliads bought in, for judgement though not all categories were well represented. Thanks to Stan, Steve and Uldis for their dedication in sorting the paperwork for the end results. How good was that! Yes from all accounts the 3 Day Coach tour to Coffs Harbour was well received by all who participated. Congratulations to Ron Murray for an outstanding job well done in arranging accommodation and meal venues, and for Peter Cook keeping us well informed of the scheduling of events and venues. Regretfully Percy Jorgensen had a fall prior to the event and he and wife Betty were unable to participant, also Hermann Vandermeer fell ill prior to our departure and was unable to experience a great 3 days. For the ardent bromeliad collector there was plenty of choice and numerous had almost empty pockets by the time they got home. We were all in awe of our Coach Driver Jo who miraculously managed to manoeuvre the coach in and out of some very precarious situations. Top marks from us all. The Garden Meeting at Steve Floods place was very well attended and certainly worth the visit. Steve has not been standing still since our last meeting in October 2017. The array of special plants and the informative description by Steve, Nigel and Cheryl certainly caught everyone's attention. No shortage of takers for great snags off the BBQ. Garden meetings are well received, with that in mind if you a member is in a position to offer your garden for a meeting in the future please contact one of the committee. 3
