Cuba has one of the highest ranking educational systems in Latin America. In spite of limited resources, a lack of instructional materials and technology, Cuba has established a literacy rate of 97%. What is the secret behind their success? Continue on a visit of a local maternity home. This strategy has helped the country achieve a nearly 100% in-hospital birth rate and lower infant and maternal mortality rates.
