WELCOME TO LUCERNE AT CHRISTMAS Throughout Advent and into the New Year, the Lucerne Lake Lucerne Region presents fabulous events and activities featuring a wealth of Christmas cheer and winter atmosphere. Enjoy the run-up to Christmas with traditional seasonal events such as the Samichlausauszug (Father Christmas Procession), Klausjagen (Nicholas Chase) and Sternsingen (Christmas Carolling). Lucerne City sparkles with Christmas lights: warm up with mulled wine at the Christmas markets or discover Lucerne at Christmas on our "Pine Boughs and Bright Lights" guided tour. The atmosphere around Lake Lucerne is best enjoyed aboard one of the many festive cruises. In Europaplatz, skate on the Live on Ice rink after a hearty raclette while admiring the views of the city, the lake and the mountains. If you prefer to take things a little easier, why not join other spectators at the international Lucerne Cup ice hockey tournament? Catch the spectacular firework display over the bay on New Year's Day and succumb to the enchantment of the Light Festival Lucerne in January.
