We hope that the information provided in this document will help you to get the most the event. Please bring these instructions with you on the day, as they will help ensure you have a smooth arrival. Full travel details (by road, air and rail) are outlined in the accompanying document How to find us. Train: station is only four miles the University and a taxi would cost approximately 11 to the University. Birmingham International station is also close by and a taxi there would cost approximately 27. At the University there is a taxi rank on Health Centre Road opposite Arts Centre. Car parking please read if you are driving: Please note that car parks are not adjacent to the registration and accommodation areas. Allow plenty of time to find a space and remember this is a large campus so there may be a -10 minute walk to get back to your car. Parking during the conference is free of charge in the conference car parks (7, 8a and 1). They are barrier operated: on arrival you should take a token the machine at the car park barrier. Before leaving you should validate the token this can be done at the Conference Park Reception and in the exhibition. Cars parked illegally and any unauthorised parking in disabled spaces will incur a fine. Please note that the University operates a wheel-clamping system. The Federation will not reimburse charges. CONFERENCE REGISTRATION Conference registration will take place in the Conference Park Reception at Senate House (directly adjacent to car park 7 on the map). Please note we will not be using Rootes Reception as the reception area is being re-developed. The Bar, Restaurant and conference rooms will still be in use.

The Federation s registration desks will be open at the following times: Wednesday 20 March 09:30 20:00 Thursday 21 March 09:00 1:3 Note: Room keys will not be available until 1:00 on your day of arrival. At registration you will be issued with your name badge listing your session choices. Please wear your badge at all times. This will allow you entry to the exhibition and help with security. It will also enable you to identify fellow delegates. ACCOMMODATION Room keys are available the Conference Park Reception 1:00 on the day of arrival. The latest check-in for accommodation will be 23:00. En suite accommodation will be on campus. You must vacate your room by 09:30 on your departure day. A luggage store is available in the Conference Park Reception. Bedrooms do not have TVs or telephones. Coin-operated and phone card telephones are available throughout the campus. All bedrooms have hairdryers and tea and coffee making facilities. If you are not staying on campus, you can source hotel accommodation through a variety of websites including www.lastminute.com, www.laterooms.com and www.expedia.co.uk MESSAGES FOR DELEGATES We are unable to convey any messages personally. Therefore, please restrict messages to emergencies only. Conference telephone numbers are as follows: Tel: 024 762 2280 Fax: 024 767 2661 CONFERENCE FEE Your fee includes a delegate pack, refreshments and meals as detailed within the programme for those days that you are booked on to the conference. The conference dinner, drinks reception and after party on Wednesday evening is free to attend. SESSION CHOICES The Federation will endeavour to accommodate your session choices. However, due to the number of delegates attending the conference and the restrictions on some breakout rooms, this may not always be possible. You will be able to make alternative choices on the day, according to availability. We recommend you choose your sessions on the booking form and make a second choice. Please make your choices when booking your place. INTERNET ACCESS All bedrooms on campus are networked for free internet access (for computers with an Ethernet network card). You will need an Ethernet cable if you do not have one these can be purchased the Conference Park Reception or the campus supermarket. Alternatively, PCs with free internet and email access are available for both day and residential guests in the Conference Park Reception. These may be accessed daily between 07:00 23:00. Wi-fi is available in social spaces and some meeting rooms on campus (but not in bedrooms). You can obtain wi-fi login and password information the help point in the Conference Park Reception.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS The venue is fully accessible for wheelchair users. If you need wheelchair access or if you have any special requirements, please contact the Business Sales and Support Team on 020 7067 1066. The Federation is unable to provide care assistance but carers can attend free of charge. LEISURE FACILITIES Delegates may use some of s leisure facilities free of charge providing they take along their bedroom key or delegate name badge as a means of identification. The towel your bedroom can be taken to the Sports Centre, or alternatively you can hire an additional towel for 1.6. Please see http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/services/sportscentre for further details. SECURITY Please remember to be vigilant throughout the conference to ensure the safety of your property. If items cannot be watched, then it is important that they are properly secured. Neither Federation nor venue staff will accept any personal belongings for safekeeping. These should be kept with you at all times or left in the designated left luggage or cloakroom facilities. SHOPS AND BARS There are various retail outlets and bars on campus, including the Rootes Bar, Arts Centre Café Bar and the Dirty Duck in the Student Union. Please note meeting rooms, accommodation and dining areas are not all under one roof and bedrooms are spread across a large area. It is therefore advisable to bring suitable clothing, comfortable footwear and umbrellas as appropriate. When leaving late at night please respect your fellow delegates and leave quietly. Delegates should also exercise caution if walking around the campus alone. DIETARY REQUIREMENTS If you have specific dietary needs, please indicate these on your booking form. If you have already submitted your form without filling in this section, please contact the Federation s Business Sales and Support Team on 020 7067 1066 or email events@housing.org.uk with your dietary requirements. MEETING ROOMS All main plenary sessions are located in the Arts Centre (building no. 6 on the map). Sub-plenary and breakout sessions will take place in various locations on campus. Please refer to the Conference Handbook for session locations when onsite. REFRESHMENTS Refreshments on Wednesday and Thursday are served in the exhibition marquee on University Road. Lunch on Wednesday and Thursday will be held in Rootes Restaurant, dinner on Wednesday evening will also be served here. Breakfast for residential delegates is served 07:30 09:00 in Rootes Restaurant. If you have specific dietary needs, please indicate these on your booking form.
