What is Cub Day Camp? Cub Day Camp provides Cub Scouts and their leaders FUN and ADVENTURE in the outdoors! 1-day camps are for all Cub Scouts and elos. The 2-day twilight (afternoon-evening) camps are for elos only with the first day the same as the 1-day camp and the second day focused on elos adventures. Camps are offered in,, Caldwell, Ontario-OR, Mountain Home, and Emmett. Day Camp supports the aims of Scouting: character, citizenship, personal fitness, and leadership. While achievements are earned at camp, the primary focus is having FUN in the outdoors. Highlights include BB guns and archery as well as wood and leather projects. Register for the Cub Day Camp that works for your pack TODAY! 1- Pack Registration Form 2- Fees Registration Steps to Success Choose your preferred date from the schedule. Choose up to three date/location options in case your preferred date is full. Fill out Pack Registration Form (a preferred fillable PDF is available at www.oreidascouting.org on the Camping/Cub Day Camp page or use paper form attached). A minimum of two registered adult leaders 21 years of age or over are required at all Scouting activities including Day Camp. A registered female adult leader over 21 must be present for any activity involving female youth. One additional adult required for every 1-5 scouts after the first 10. All BSA registered leaders attending camp must have current Youth Protection Training (YPT) prior to camp. All other adults attending camp are strongly encouraged to complete Youth Protection Training. Record BSA Member ID and Youth Protection Training (YPT) date for BSA Registered Adult #1 and Adult #2 on registration form. See Important Points for tips to find the BSA Member ID number. Enter each scout s BSA Member ID. All scouts must be registered with Boy Scouts of America prior to camp. Enter T-shirt sizes for all scouts (price included in registration fee). Enter sizes for adults and Den Chiefs only if. Save and PRINT (or copy) completed Pack Registration Form. Keep one for your records. One-day Cubs/elos fees are $30/scout before 5pm on April 3, 2019, and $35 thereafter. Two-day elos Twilight fees are $45/scout before 5pm on April 3, 2019, and $50 thereafter. Gold Card Packs receive a $5 discount per scout available until start of your day of camp. To determine Gold Card status, contact your District Executive or the Scout Office. Camp T-shirts for adults and Den Chiefs are available for $10 (S-XL) and $12 (2XL and up) each. Make checks payable to: BSA. Fees are transferable, but not refundable. Cub Scout camp fees include a camp T-shirt, participation patch, and all materials for each scout. 3- Health Forms All scouts, adults, and Den Chiefs must have a current Annual BSA Health & Medical Form, [2014 printing, Parts A (one page) and B (two pages)] to turn in with registration form. See link next page. Doctor s physical and insurance cards are not required. Keep original forms for your pack s use. Health forms will be returned at end of camp or shredded. 4- Complete Registration at Scout Office Take printed registration form, health forms (all adults and youth), and total payment to the Scout Office to complete registration. Collect all fees from each family and pay as a pack. Early Pay Deadline is by 5 pm, April 3, 2019. Packs registered by the deadline receive the $5 discount and guarantee that their T-shirts will be available at Day Camp Orientation on 11, 2019. Registration is first come, first served so register early! Pack registration does not guarantee a placeholder for late registrants, even from the same pack. 3
5- Day Camp Orientation/T-Shirt Distribution Meeting urday, 11 th, 2019 10 am, 6111 Birch Lane,, ID. Please send at least one representative from your pack to pick up T-shirts and receive important information about Day Camp. All adults bringing scouts to Day Camp are encouraged to attend this meeting. T-shirts for packs registering after April 3 rd will be available at your day of camp or contact your director to make other arrangements. Ontario Camp Tuesday, 14 th, 7 pm, Ontario Veterans Memorial Hall, 25 NW 8 th St. Ontario, OR 6- Important Points BSA Member ID: Pack Key 3 Leaders (Charter Rep, Committee Chair, and Cubmaster) can access BSA Member ID s by logging into https://my.scouting.org Menu Pack [your pack number] Member Manager. Unit leaders using a synced Scoutbook subscription should also have access to each scouts profile to view their BSA Member ID. Enter each scouts BSA Member ID on the registration form. Den Chiefs (Scout BSA helpers) can be an asset to adult leaders. Den Chiefs are counted as youth in the adult to youth ratio, but attend for free. Their names are entered on the back page of the registration form. Their purpose is to help the cub scouts. Since they do not pay to attend camp, they won t receive camp projects or a T-shirt. T-shirts are available for purchase. Individual scouts can attend camp with their parent if unable to attend with their pack. If a scout is already registered and unable to attend with his/her pack, contact the Scout Office to transfer the scout s registration to another camp with available space. All scouts must be accompanied at camp by either a parent or two registered scout leaders. Maximum 160 Scouts (1-day Camp) and 144 Scouts (2-day elos Twilight Camp). No new packs added after 135 (1-day Camp)/130 (2-day elos Twilight Camp) scouts per camp. Camps with fewer than 75 registered Scouts may be transferred to a different camp by 17 th. Questions?
