Minutes of the 24th Meeting (1/2015 Series) of the Approval Committee of Global Village (Tanglin) Special Economic Zone held on 9 th April 2015 The 24th Meeting (1/2015 series) of the Approval Committee of Global Village (Tanglin) Special Economic Zone, Bangalore, constituted under Section 13 of Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, was held on 9 th April 2015 at 11.30 a.m in the Conference Room of SEZ Bhavan, 120-C, EPIP, Whitefield, Bangalore. Dr Safeena A N, Development Commissioner chaired the meeting. 2. At the outset the Chairperson welcomed the members of the Approval Committee. 4. The following items in the agenda circulated in advance, were thereafter taken up for consideration: A) Confirmation of the minutes The minutes of the 23 nd meeting (5/2014 series) of the Approval Committee held on 6 th August 2014 was confirmed. B) Action Taken on the decisions of the previous meeting
The Chairperson informed that the following decisions of the last meeting had been communicated: Sl No Approval Issued on 1 Request of M/s. Accenture Services Pvt. Ltd. for approval of 17.11.2014 additional services required in relation to the authorized operations. 2 Ratification of uniform default list of services circulated vide this office Circular No.1/2014 dated 02.02.2014 and Circular No.2/2014 dated 25.07.2014 as per uniform list of services expanded by the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry. 17.11.2014 C. Consideration of applications: C 1. Request of M/s. Accenture Services Pvt. Ltd. for approval for expansion of their premises in the SEZ. The proposal is to expand their operations in 3 rd, 4 th, 5 th and 6 th floor, in Tower D in Global Village SEZ with the following projections for a period of 5 years:- Sl. The proposal is to expand their operations in 3 rd, 4 th, 5 th and 6 th floor, in Tower D in Global Village SEZ. Approval for application for setting up of units: a) Ratification of Letter of Approval issued to M/s.Sonata Software Limited for setting up of a new SEZ unit in Global Village SEZ M/s Sonata Software Limited is a global software solutions provider specializing in wireless, Telecom and IP Networking Technologies for multiple vertical industries. M/s Sonata Software Limited already has an SEZ unit in Global Village SEZ. The company has submitted an application on 23.04.2015 to set up 1 more SEZ unit in Global Village SEZ with the following projections. The unit expressed urgency in obtaining the LOA since they have already completed the lease procedures and have paid the rentals to the Developer and stated that they have to start their operation immediately to complete the orders in hand. In view of the urgency expressed by the company LOA has been issued to them on 27.04.2015 since the application is found to be in order as per Rule 17 of SEZ Rules, 2006. The matter is placed before the Unit Approval Committee for ratification.
C.1. Application by the Developer, M/s. Tanglin Developments Ltd for permission for installation of ATM in Global Village SEZ b) M/s.Tanglin Developments Ltd. The Developer has requested permission to use space 50 Sq.Ft. in 2nd Floor, of Global Edge Building in Global Village SEZ for installation of ATM machine by HDFC Bank for dispensation of Cash/Acceptance of Cash. As per instructions contained in Instruction No.50 dated 15 th March 2010, the DC s/uac s may allow Developer/approved Co-developers duty free goods and services for these default authorized operations from the date of notification of the SEZ and Space for Bank/ATM has been included as authorized activity which can be undertaken by the developer/approved co-developer by default from the date of notification vide the above instruction.
