Almonte: LANARK COUNTY OPP NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH UPDATE 15 May 2007 1) A blue bicycle (make and model not known) was reported stolen on the 11 th of May 2007 from the arena on Bridge Street. The bicycle was stolen between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Beckwith Township: 1) On the 07 th of May 2007 several items were reported stolen from the Hydro Station located on Highway 15 (north of Franktown). The incident occurred over the weekend between the 4 th and 7 th of May 2007. No further details available at this time. 2) A bicycle was reported stolen overnight on the 07 th of May 2007 from a property on Highway 7 just east of Carleton Place. The item is described as a BMX Diamond child size bicycle, purple in colour. 3) A radar weather station was reported broken into on the 07 th of May 2007. The incident occurred overnight on Gillies Corners Side Road, north of Gillies Corners in the vicinity of 6 th Line Beckwith. No further details available at this time. Carleton Place: 1) A vehicle reported stolen overnight on the 07 th of May 2007 from a parking lot on Mill Street was later recovered on Bates Drive in Carleton Place. The front hood, trunk hood, fenders and bumpers had been removed. The vehicle in question was a 1998 Honda Civic black in color. 2) Between 8:00 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. on the 08 th of May 2007 a Honda Civic parked at the Carleton Place High School on Lake Avenue West was vandalized. A dent was located on the passenger side front bumper. 3) A residence located on Johnston Street was broken into on the 08 th of May 2007 during daylight hours. Entry was made through an unlocked door at which time the house was ransacked. A quantity of U.S cash and some jewellery were reported stolen.
4) A 1994 Dodge ½ tonne pickup truck, green and silver in color with license plate Ontario 666 1RC was reported stolen from a parking lot on Arthur Street on the 10 th of May 2007 between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. As of the 14 th of May 2007 the vehicle was still outstanding as stolen. A second vehicle at this same location was broken into and the ignition damaged. 5) The rear door of a S.U.V was reported damaged on the 12 th of May 2007. The incident occurred overnight on Dunham Street, where damage to the paint of the door occurred. 6) A shed located at the rear of the Notre Dame High School on McKenzie Street was reported broken into on the 12 th of May 2007. The incident occurred overnight when a hasp lock was pried off of the shed, and a brad nailer stolen. 7) A tire was reported slashed overnight on the 12 th of May 2007. The incident occurred on Napoleon Street. 8) A mailbox was reported damaged overnight on the 12 th of May 2007. The incident occurred on Charlotte Street. 9) A bicycle reported stolen on the 12 th of May 2007 from a property on Charlotte Street was later recovered at another property on Flora Street where it was abandoned. 10) On the 13 th of May 2007 the hood of a car was reported damaged after a bicycle was thrown onto the car. The incident occurred on Herriott Street just west of Bridge Street overnight. The area was canvassed and it was reported that just after midnight on the 13 th, two males and a female were observed in the area yelling at each other, at which time one of the males threw a bike on the car. No further descriptors were obtained. 11) A tire was slashed on a postal vehicle some time on Friday night May 11 th 2007. The incident was reported on the 14 th of May 2007 having occurred at a property on Bridge Street in the vicinity of Lake Avenue East.
Central Frontenac Township: 1) A license plate from a boat trailer was reported stolen on the 08 th of May 2007. The incident occurred at the government docks in Sharbot Lake at Elizabeth Street. The trailer was left unattended while the complainant was boating and was stolen during daylight hours during their absence. 2) A shed was reported broken into at Echo Lake Camp on Bush Road, southwest of Parham on the 10 th of May 2007. Stolen from the shed was a white 1994 Johnson 15 horsepower outboard motor. At approximately 1:00 a.m. on the 10 th of May 2007 a car was heard leaving the vicinity of the shed however it is unknown at this time if the car is related to the incident or not. No make or model was obtained. 3) On the 14 th of May 2007 several items were reported stolen from a boat situated at Third Depot Lake northwest of Godfrey. The items were discovered stolen on May 11 th 2007 having been taken the previous night. The stolen items are as follows; Evinrude 1.5 hp outboard motor, two Evinrude steel fuel tanks, plastic fuel can, CTC Deep cell battery, four life vests, black plastic CTC tool box containing wrenches, screwdrivers, hammer and a hatchet. North Frontenac Township: 1) Between 12:00 p.m. on the 6 th of May and 7:30 a.m. on the 7 th of May 2007, a shed located at the Lookout Home Hardware on County Road 509 in Plevna was broken into. The door to the shed was forced at which time an orange/white Stihl chainsaw, model 025; an orange and white Stihl cut quick saw, model TS400; and a Stanley Bostitch air compressor were stolen. 2) A log from a dock was reported stolen on the 11 th of May 2007. The log that is a 2-foot by 25-foot white pine log was pried off of the dock causing some damage. The theft occurred some time since early April 2007 at a property on Green Forest Way southeast of Ardoch at Malcolm Lake. Drummond/North Elmsley Township: 1) A residence was reported broken into on the 04 th of May 2007. The incident occurred between late November 2006 and May 2007 at a property on Red Rock Bay Road (runs off of Beck Shore just off of Drummond Concession 7, north of Tennyson Road Mississippi Lake). It is believed entry was made through a window at which time several items were stolen. The items include a 14 foot Springbok aluminium boat that is approximately 8 years old, and has a red stripe, a 12 foot green fibreglass canoe, a 17 inch JVC television, a Sony VCR/DVD, a Cannon digital video camera, a Northtrail 1986 utility box trailer, and approximately $700.00 worth of fuel from a large outdoor oil tank.
Lanark Highlands Township: 1) On the 10 th of May 2007 three boat motors were reported stolen from a property on Windy Point Road (runs north off of Pickerel Bay at White Lake, north of Peneshula Road). The boat motors were stolen from a locked area underneath the residence some time over the winter months. Two of the motors were over 40 years old. The third is described as a black 9.8 horsepower Mercury outboard that was approximately 10-15 years old. 2) The rear window of a vehicle was vandalized when it was broken overnight between 8:00 p.m. on the 9 th and 8:00 a.m. on the 10 th of May 2007. The incident occurred on Iron Mine Road that runs north off of McDonalds Corners Road, north of Fallbrook area. Montague Township: 1) On the 12 th of May 2007 a screen from a window was found removed at a property on Beek Road (runs off of Boat Launch Road, just south of Rideau River Road, south of Kilmarnock). The residence was checked and no evidence of entry into the house was detected. No items were reported stolen. Mississippi Mills Township: 1) An unlocked shed was reported entered over the last couple of months on the 07 th of May 2007 and several items stolen. The stolen items include an air compressor, a pressure washer, and Honda generator. The incident occurred at a property on Ramsay Concession 7B (runs north/south through Clayton Road, northwest of Almonte). 2) A garbage can was reported stolen from a property at Ramsay Concession 12 on the 14 th of May 2007. The incident occurred just north of March Road, east of Almonte (runs north/south through March Road). Tay Valley Township: 1) On the 11 th of May 2007 a boat was reported stolen from a property on Otty Lake Southwest Shore (runs off of Long Lake Road from Long Lake up to Otty Lake, southwest of Perth). The item is described as a 2005 Smoke Craft 14 foot aluminium boat that has a blue design on the side. It was discovered stolen on the 11 th of May 2007 having been taken some time since early February 2007. 2) On the 11 th of May 2007 Canada Post mailboxes were discovered overturned at Stanleyville Road and Powers Road (just south of Stanleyville). The incident occurred overnight and the boxes sustained no damage.
