001 2 days; 60 ; 15 p.; 5/5; Tours Waterfall Expedition The by passing Rio Apuau has its source in the very deep jungle north of our location. Crystal clear water, washed out of the ground to form small streams and later majestic waterfalls. This 2 day expedition starts with a 5 hour boat ride through divers landscapes. Over the night we will find rest in a cozy hammock camp next to the river. We will start the next morning by hiking through hilly ground until you reach a spectacular waterfall: An isolated paradise where you can jump from cliffs or simply relax on a small sand dune.
001 2 hours; 10 ; 7 p.; 4/5; Tours Night Safari We are situated in one of the most divers ecosystems in the world. Nevertheless it is not guaranteed to spot wild mammals during the day as bigger animals and reptiles are very shy and only come out at night. Together with a well experienced guide we will spotlight the river banks while driving through narrow channels on a motorboat. Once spotted the shining eyes of an animal, we drive closer to have a better look. Our guide will then give you a short explanation about the species. This is the perfect opportunity to get to see shy animals like caimans, snakes or sloths!
001 2 hours; incl.; 10 p.; 2/5; Tours Visit Indiginous Settlers After the region s colonial past, slaves and indigenous people mixed together to form today s inhabitants, the Caboclos. Since most of them moved to bigger cities, there s only few of them left living at the the river s shores. Some of them even built little communities. On a short 15 min boat ride we will accompany you to the neighbouring community of Rio Apuau. You will have the chance to wander around by yourself and experience their everyday life. Some of them might invite you to their home or a muddy football match.

001 1h / 3h; incl. / 8 ; 10 p.; 3/5; Tours Jungle Hike Our peninsula is directly connected to vast lands of primary rainforest. They are home to a variety of big trees, unknown insects and wild monkeys. Take an easy walk from the festival grounds until finding yourself inside a leaf covered cave, or get more adventurous: Together with a guide you ll be dropped off at the end of a river arm deep inside the jungle. From their on, you will have to beat your way through the dense forest until finally reaching the venue again. Either ways you ll be accompanied by one of our guides who ll unveil the secrets of the flora and fauna.
001 1h / 3h; incl. / 10 ; 8 p.; 2/5; Tours Island Boat Tour The festival venue lies just on the other riverside of Anavilhanas National Park. This natural paradise composes hundreds of islands and is widely known for the pink dolphins living there! During rainy season the islands get flooded, whereas in dry season long stretching white sand dunes emerge out of the black waters. On this tour we will jump on one of our boats and explore this labyrinth of islands, channels and lakes for several hours. With a bit of luck you get the chance to spot a dolphin, toucan or other exotic species. This will also include a short hop out on one of the jungle islands or river dunes!
001 1 night; Tours Overnight Jungle Camp Indigenous people are used to go hunt for days and sleep in the dense forest over nights. When daylight fades away, the sounds of the jungle turn on. On this tour you will experience nature at its fullest. A motorboat will bring you to a secret spot inside the jungle where you and a local will spend the night together. After setting up the campsite with covered hammocks, you will prepare your own meal at the campfire. Drinking cachaca and listening to the wise stories of a native will quickly lull you to sleep. 002 Workshops
002 1,5 hours; incl.; 10 p.; 1/5; Workshops Capoeira Long ago, african slaves were brought to whole of brazil. What they brought along with them: A culture full of beautiful traditions and ceremonies. Capoeira was one of them and has developed itself since the beginning of slaves resistance. It is a martial art that combines dance, acrobatic and music. Through this workshop you will find a way to dig into the african history of brazil and it s rich tradition. The surrounding jungle is the perfect place to fully concentrate on this old ritual!
002 1,5 hours; 5 ; 10 p.; 1/5; Workshops Herbal Knowledge Tropical Rainforests have a huge diversity of medical plants. Together with our specialist you will explore the forest for these local herbs. After an explanation about different purposes of tropical plants, being a more sustainable alternative towards conventional medicines, you ll prepare your own individual medicine. You ll be impressed which huge potential tropical herbs have in terms of alternative medicine.
002 1,5 hours; 5 ; 10 p.; 1/5; Workshops Maniok Refining Maniok has always played a huge role in native s alimentation. Since the indigenous people in south america exist, this type of potato has always been an essential source for their food supply. Even though Maniok or Yuca is normally toxic they developed a refining process that enables them to intoxicate the vegetable while generating a side product. Todays amazon inhabitants still mainly depend on this as it is very nutritious and relatively easy to cultivate. This workshop introduces you to this old tradition by a local settler.
002 2 x 1h; 8 ; 5 p.; 3/5; Workshops Fishing (with net) The black waters of the Rio Apuau bear a huge variety of sweet water fish! Even though the water is very acidic, there is still a high quantity of fish living inside it. From bigger ones like Tucunare to smaller ones, such as Piranhas. For the locals fish is the most valuable nutriment. It s part of the family business to take off by night and set the nets. Follow one of our native s on their nightly fishing routine and learn about their knowledge and methods.
003 Activities
003 Our activities are the do it yourself part of our program. Explore the bypassing water, get active by doing your preferable sport in a natural surrounding or simply sit down and relax!
