Page 7 of 19 Enjoy Glasgow! Enjoy your first day in Glasglow! All major museums and galleries are free to visit, and in the summer months the gardens and parks are delightful. I'll provide you with a list of recommended visits, but also give yourself time to stroll around and explore! Take a nap if you wish after a long flight, but only give yourself about 2 hours, then get up and move around to start adjusting to the new time zone!

Page 8 of 19 MONDAY - JULY 3 Exploring Glasgow Wake up this morning, hopefully feeling refreshed! Your hotel is known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere, so they will also give you suggestions of things to do. If you really must, you can take a day trip to Edinburgh on the train (they are about 50 miles apart), but you will have so much to keep you occupied. For instance, you could visit Pollok Country Park. Standing in the middle of it, you would never believe you were only three miles from the city centre! Here you have everything from woodland walks, Highland cattle and mountain bike circuits, to the stunning surroundings of the mansion. Or visit the famous Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. Perhaps a whiskey tasting as well or a bike tour of the city?

Page 9 of 19 TUESDAY - JULY 4 9:00 AM 10 hr Day trip to Oban, Glencoe, West Highland & Castles PRICE $110.00 With such a limited time in Scotland, taking a small group (less than 16 people) van tour of some of the most beautiful Scottish highlights is recommended to give you an idea of Scotland's appeal. SUGGESTED DAY TRIP (Others available in the same price range, this is just a suggestion)

Page 10 of 19 Depart Glasgow at 09.00 and travel northwest, through the gorgeous Glen Fruin, driving parallel with Loch Long. From here we will be crossing the Highland boundary fault line where the scenery changes quickly and dramatically - the flat fertile plains of the Lowlands giving way to shimmering lochs, rugged mountain tops and forest-filled glens. It's easy to forget that this was once thought of as a dangerous frontier fought over by the fiercely territorial Highland clans such as the MacGregors, made famous by highland folk hero, Rob Roy MacGregor. Loch Lomond is Scotland's largest loch and it takes its name from the mountain Ben Lomond on the eastern shore. We will then take a leisurely drive over the at 'Rest and Be Thankful' mountain pass. It was given its name in 1753 by the weary soldiers who had just finished building the old military road up through Glen Croe (not to be confused with Glencoe which you will visit later in the day) From here we will travel through the steep-sided mountains, known as the Arrochar Alps, to the picturesque harbour town of Inveraray on the shores of Loch Fyne, famous for the18th-century castle and home of the Duke of Argyll, chief of the Campbell clan. The town was built at the same time as the castle and is a classic 18th century planned village with its straight wide streets and dignified Georgian houses, designed by Robert Adam, famous for his architecture in Edinburgh's New Town. From here we will drive along the shore of Scotland's longest loch, Loch Awe, where we stop for the short walk out to visit Kilchurn Castle, a magnificent ruin situated in the middle of Loch Awe and former home of the Campbells of Breadalbane. We will then continue to the harbour town of Oban, gateway to the Isles, for lunch of your choice. After lunch we will then travel north along the west coast around Appin, passing the impregnable Castle Stalker, and into Scotland's most famous valley, Glencoe. Stunningly beautiful, with its dramatic cliff faces and steep slopes, Glencoe is infamous as the site of the Glencoe massacre in 1692. Following orders from King William, Scottish soldiers under the leadership of Captain Robert Campbell slaughtered 38 men, women and children of the Macdonald clan. This was especially shocking as the soldiers had been living with the people of Glencoe for 2 weeks and killed them in their own homes. Nobody was ever punished for this crime, as the King himself had signed the order, but the Highlands would never be the same again. Travelling south as we pass the majestic peak of Buachaille Etive Mor (meaning 'the great shepherd of Etive') we descend towards the wild desolation of Rannoch Moor. At an altitude of over 1000ft, covered by heather and peat-bogs and dotted with dozens of lochs, it's a unique landscape. From here we will then travel through Glen Falloch, and then drive south towards Loch Lomond. This is Scotland's largest loch and it takes its name from the mountain Ben Lomond on the eastern shore. The last stop of the day will be in Luss, an 18th century conservation village with old workers cottages, built for the labourers of the Estate. From here we return to Glasgow at approx 19.00.

Page 11 of 19 Includes Transport by top of the range Mercedes minibus (usually a 16-seater vehicle without WC facility), professional Rabbie's driver guide, and Rabbies discount card which entitles you to money off at selected restaurants, shopping and tourist attractions (10% discount off restaurants, shopping and attractions). Please note: Lunch, refreshments and entrances not included. Due to the nature walks involved in this tour it is recommended that you bring suitable clothing an footwear as Scotland can be a wet place!

Page 12 of 19 WEDNESDAY - JULY 5 Check-out Check out at Hotel Indigo Glasgow As your flight only leaves in the afternoon, enjoy a leisurely morning with additional sightseeing activities until lunchtime. Page 13 of 19 Departure The Blue Lagoon PRICE $70.00 Consider stopping at the Blue Lagoon on the way from the airport to your hotel. The lagoon is a unique geothermal spa situated in the youngest lava field in west Iceland.. Shuttles will bring you to the Lagoon and take you to the hotel when you're ready to leave. Tickets to the Blue Lagoon must be purchased separately (I can assist) and are $75 each, which includes lockers, towel, unlimited access to the hot springs, and a welcome drink. More information available. At the end of your relaxing sojourn, continue on to your hotel.

Page 14 of 19 Check-in Check in at Centerhotel Klopp PRICE $990.00 (note: hotels are simple by US standards but prices are very inflated in July as this is the top tourist season) Centerhotel Klopp Reykjavík, WEST, IS, 101 +354 595 8520

Page 15 of 19 THURSDAY - JULY 6 Recommended Excursion: The Golden Circle PRICE $184.00 This popular excursion introduces you to some of the best-known natural phenomena in Iceland. You will enter Thingvellir, where the Icelandic parliament Aldingi was founded in 930, which makes it the oldest known functioning parliament in the world. The tour continues to the beautiful waterfall Gullfoss and from there towards the geothermal area around the incredible spouting hot springs of Geysir and Strokkur. We proceed to Skalholt church, the ancient seat of the Icelandic bishops. On the way back, a photo stop by the colourful volcanic crater Kerio is included. From there the route continues through fertile agricultural areas to Hverageroi, a small and charming horticultural village.

Page 16 of 19 FRIDAY - JULY 7 Explore Reykjavik Use this day to stay off a bus and relax. Explore the city or book an impromptu whale watching or puffin watching tour. I can provide a list of suggested visits. The city is small enough to explore on foot or a hop-on hop-off tourist bus is available during certain months.

Page 17 of 19 SATURDAY - JULY 8 9 hr South Iceland, coast, waterfalls, glacier hike PRICE 400.00 Travel through the south Iceland farming lands to the black sand beaches, thundering waterfalls, powerful volcanoes and majestic glaciers on the south coast. Duration of tour: 9 hoursthe Tour The first stop is at Skogarfoss. A picturesque waterfall thundering down the slopes of Eyjafjallajokull volcano. A waterfall frequently used in movies and commercials. The tour continues with an easy hike on the ancient ice of Solheimajokull glacier with a knowledgeable and certified glacier guide. Then onwards for a leisurely stroll along the black sand beach of Reynisfjara. The beach features stacks of basalt columns that wall off surrounding cliffs scattered with caves. Offshore you will see Reynisdrangar pillars, basalt rock stacks that rise from the sea. Icelandic legend says they were trolls turned into rock by the rising sun when they came home late after a fishing trip. We round off this great sightseeing tour with a stop at Seljalandsfoss waterfall where we can walk behind this magnificent wall of water, right in the slopes of Eyjafjallajokull volcano. On a clear day you will have a fantastic view of famous volcanoes, Hekla and Eyjafjallajokull. You will also see the Westman Islands, rising steeply from the ocean just a few kilometres of the coast. This tour is a great value and easy with an adventurous twist. Sights are breathtaking and where else in the world can you stand on a glacier ice, walk behind a waterfall and stroll along a volcanic black sand beach in one day?
