PRESIDENT S MESSAGE Hi everyone! As most all of you know. Steve Douglass will be your new president this year. Congratulations Steve! So this will be my last presidential letter. Passing of the gavel will be at the meeting on Wednesday the 23rd. I hope all of you enjoyed the Christmas party last month, I know Tabatha and I did. Again, Bob did a fantastic job cooking the hams. They were great!! Thanks Bob and good job. The snow has been nice this year, so I have been hearing possible low elevation area's where members have been doing some exploring. If anyone would like to get a group going, put it on our Facebook page and lets get an adventure going. Have fun and be safe out there. RE: Christmas Gift Wrap Fundraiser Thanks to Pam Lander for spearheading this fundraiser and to all who helped with wrapping and volunteering. The mall had decided not to host this activity this year. However, Sportsman s Warehouse was more than accommodating to allow the Ginkgo Club to set up a six day event inside their store. Last year after Christmas, the club bought plenty of wrapping paper, boxes and bows, etc., so we were well equipped for the 2018 season. Also, there are supplies available for next year s wrapping. Sportsman s was so impressed with our crew that they asked us to come back next year. Now for more good news! We took in donations of $749.71 (expenses were under $35)! Hours varied from 1:00 pm to 7 or 8 pm the six days before Christmas. Thanks again to our members: Pam L., Pat Russell, Carol Smith, Carol Robb, Marge Porterfield, Suzanne and Carl Pederson & Marcia Summers. Marcia s daughter, Lori and granddaughter, Cassie stepped up to help on our Christmas Party night so no member had to miss it! Good job, well done crew! Daily donations were: Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday Monday $88.02 $134.00 $81.00 $147.03 $139.54 $159.12 David J. Earhart, Treasurer
