Success Stories Incognito Software Inc. is an Operations Support Systems (OSS) solutions business. Their products are sold to Communication Service Providers (CSPs) in the cable and telecommunications markets. Prior to the acquisition, Incognito already had a strong financial track record and a solid customer base. For Stephane Bourque, the founder and former CEO, the main priority was to preserve the business he and his employees had built for over two decades. After meeting with the Volaris team, Bourque was confident that his company would continue on its path of success. POST-ACQUISITION SUCCESS: INCREASING REVENUE AND ORGANIC GROWTH Volaris decentralized business model has enabled Incognito to remain autonomous and continue to thrive. Since the acquisition, the company s revenue has doubled. Incognito s business practices have been further refined by the financial and operational expertise provided by Volaris. He continues sharing the best practices acquired at Incognito with other leaders in the Communications & Media Portfolio. 6
SUCCESS STORIES Wellington IT s solutions help manage many of the processes associated with delivering member services such as online banking, smartphone apps, and full access to national clearing. Wellington IT is the leading software supplier to Credit Unions in Ireland, with 75 customers throughout the country. Wellington IT was co-founded by Alex Dunne and Kevin Taylor. After 30 years at the helm, they realized that it was time to start thinking about succession planning. After meeting with representatives from Volaris, Wellington IT s leadership team was immediately impressed by their professionalism and felt that Volaris was a natural home for their business. SUCCESS STORIES Wynne Systems is an international Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) company that operates on 6 continents and in over 50 countries. Wynne Systems was acquired by Volaris through a carve-out from its former owner, United Rentals. For Wynne Systems, there was a significant advantage to joining Volaris because it meant that the company could preserve its long-term customer base and keep its loyal employees in place. POST-ACQUISITION SUCCESS: SPECIALIZATION AND EXPANSION Joining Volaris has allowed Wynne Systems to expand its operations, resulting in greater efficiencies and an increase in sales. As a customer-driven organization, Wynne Systems spun out parts of its business into a new company called InTempo so that it could concentrate on delivering solutions to its largest enterprise customers. In turn, InTempo now focuses on small to mid-sized rental companies. In addition, Wynne Systems acquired UK-based Result Group, which helped expand its customer base to include specialist rental and construction companies. 8
SUCCESS STORIES Softlink is a leading developer of knowledge, content and library management solutions, supporting more than 10,000 legal, corporate, education, government and public organizations and libraries across 108 countries. When assessing prospective buyers, Softlink s former Managing Director, Nathan Godfrey, was particularly concerned with preserving the company s independence and ensuring its continued operations. Volaris model of keeping its businesses independent while providing them with financial support proved attractive to Softlink for that reason. POST-ACQUISITION SUCCESS: EXPANSION WITHIN THE EDUCATION VERTICAL Since joining Volaris Group, Softlink has been able to leverage the resources provided by Volaris to grow and expand its presence in the Education vertical. As a result of an acquisition and growth strategy guided by Godfrey, Volaris Education vertical has expanded to include Australian-based TASS and Edumate and UK-based Furlong.
