With its beautifully preserved Cape Dutch architecture, onsite museum and fabulous restaurants, it s not hard to understand why Groot Constantia is one of the most visited wine estates in the country. Its distinguished history dates back to 1685, and includes the supply of wines in early 19th century to Napoleon Bonaparte, said to have had a penchant for the honeyed nuances of the farm s Vin de Constance. Continue our visit to Cape Town: Resting at the confluence of the Indian and Atlantic oceans, sandwiched between the slopes of the iconic Table Mountain and the glistening sapphire waters of Table Bay, the exceptionally scenic city of Cape Town is in a class of its own. DAY 3 : 08OCT CAPE TOWN (B/L/D) After breakfast depart for Table Mountain. Take a cable-car up Table Mountain to view one of the world s most spectacular panoramas (cable car ride subject to weather) Continue with the full day Excursion to the Cape Peninsula: you will drive along the Atlantic Coastline passing the areas called Sea Point, Clifton, and Camps Bay before arriving in Hout Bay, a small fishing village, dominated by the scenic Chapman s Peak Pass. On to Simon s Town and Boulders Beach, home to its own penguin colony. Continue to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, with its 40 km coastline and which comprises indigenous flora, many species of antelope and abundant birdlife. At the most southerly tip of the reserve, you can climb to the lighthouse and enjoy the view of the meeting of Indian and Atlantic Oceans. Enjoy the thrill of your life on board a helicopter ride (13 minute ride) aptly name Flight of Angels over the magnificent Natural Wonder of the World, Victoria Falls. DAY 4 : 10 OCT VICTORIA FALLs - CHOBE RIVER FRONT (B/L/D) After early breakfast, discover the famous Victoria Falls with a Guide. Victoria Falls present a spectacular sight of awe-inspiring beauty and grandeur on the Zambezi River, forming the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. It was described as Mosi-oa-Tunya The Smoke that Thunders. In more modern terms Victoria Falls is known as the greatest curtain of falling water in the world. Up to 545 million litres of water flow over the Falls per minute. Enjoy our lunch at LOOK OUT Café with pork ribs & beer before we drive to the border to cross over to Botswana. The Kazungula border between Zimbabwe and Botswana is 70 kilometres away from the Vic Falls town. After clearing both side Immigration, drive to Kasane to our accommodation at Chobe Marina Lodge The Chobe Marine Lodge Set in thatched buildings on the bank of the Chobe River, this relaxed hotel is 5 km to Chobe National Park. Upon arrival, spend some time to relax at the hotel, perhaps sit in their open-air lodge to enjoy the settling sun before dinner at the hotel. Overnight at Chobe Marine Lodge DAY 5 : 11 OCT CHOBE RIVER FRONT Enjoy a full day adventure at Chobe National Park Day at leisure to enjoy all meals, and the game activities, ie boat cruise or game drive included. Game drive in the Chobe National Park, where once again you have the opportunity to enjoy an abundance of wildlife as you explore the Chobe Riverfront by open safari vehicle. Large herds of elephant, buffalo and plains game, along with their accompanying predators have made this their home. It's very rare for this not to be a truly unforgettable game viewing experience. Visit the Voortrekker Monument and Union Buildings. Stop in Eastwood (Pretoria) to view the Jacaranda in Pretoria (subject to the weather, the Jacaranda flower normally start blooming from 1 st week of Oct onwards and last for 2 3 weeks. Have lunch at an Asian Restaurant in Pretoria. Transfer to Johannesburg. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner at a local restaurant.
