Dear Investor, the calendar of 0 Government bond issues will keep the same structure and graphic layout as last year. Therefore, for each month the first page indicates the dates of auction course and settlement in full, broken down into short term bonds (BOT and CTZ) and medium- and long-term bonds (CCT and BTP); the second page, instead, provides, by means of icons, information related to the previous and subsequent months, so that, by a quick glance, the entire course of auction can be followed, even when it straddles two months. Similarly, holidays are indicated in the publishing style we used for the past two years: the closing dates of the European payment system (TARGET) are marked by a light blue background that takes a lighter shade on national holidays when the TARGET system is operating. The images chosen to indicate the months of the year are related to the event that marks the completion of the Monetary Union process: the circulation of the euro banknotes and coins. As a matter of fact, like the arches and bridges depicted on the banknotes, the bridges shown on the calendar on the one hand recall the vast historical background of Italy and Europe, and on the other hand represent the importance of communication in building civilization. Aware of the importance of communication, the Treasury Department continues to provide exhaustive information on the Italian public debt both through its Internet site www.tesoro.it/publicdebt/, and its direct contribution to financial information providers: Bloomberg (MDTE index page) Reuters (TESOROITALIA index page) Bridge (- index page).
