Australian airports are, for the most part, individual and isolated facilities with limited resource to work with airlines, regulatory bodies and government. Our experience in this industry has shown, time and again, that these airports have common issues, opportunities and goals that can be better handled with a team approach. The AAA makes that happen. Through the AAA, member airports have accomplished many things that would simply be impossible if we weren t in this together. From an improved defence force payment system to a closer working relationship with the regulatory bodies that guide us, the AAA has worked hard and delivered strong results for its members. Mount Gambier Airport has greatly benefited from being a member of the AAA by helping build strong relationships with other operators around Australia which now enables us to learn from the best practices of more than 200 member airports across the country. This has enabled us to continually improve our services and facilities making our AAA membership a valuable investment in our future. Paul McFarlane Airport Compliance Officer Mount Gambier Airport (South Australia) 11
