ACHILLES FATE FOLLOWS AND MEN AND CHILDREN WILL BE SLAUGHTERED AS

THE STORY OF THE FALL OF TROY APPEARS IN SEVERAL PLACES BUT IS MOST RECOGNIZED FROM VIRGIL S THE AENEID

OUCH! YOU WOMAN SEDUCER! WHILE ACHILLES IS IN THE TEMPLE OF APOLLO, PARIS SHOOTS AN ARROW AT ACHILLES. APOLLO GUIDES THE ARROW SO THAT IT HITS ACHILLES ONE VULNERABLE SPOT, THE HEEL THAT THETIS DID NOT DIP IN THE RIVER STYX.

Paris shoots a poisoned arrow that is guided by the god Apollo directly at the heel of Achilles.

THE BATTLE OVER ACHILLES BODY AJAX CARRIES AWAY THE BODY OF THE DEAD ACHILLES. THETIS SAYS THAT ACHILLES ARMOR SHOULD BE GIVEN TO THE MOST DESERVING GREEK WARRIOR. A NUMBER OF CHIEFS WILL DECIDE WHO IS MOST DESERVING.

THE BATTLE OVER THE ARMOR NO. IT S MINE AJAX! OF ACHILLES IT S MINE. ODYSSEUS AND AJAX EACH BELIEVE THAT THEY SHOULD RECEIVE THE ARMOR OF ACHILLES FOR THE WORK THAT THEY HAVE DONE IN THE WAR. THEY EACH ARGUE THEIR CASE AND THE ARMOR IS EVENTUALLY GIVEN TO ODYSSEUS.

THE DEATH OF AJAX AJAX COMMITS SUICIDE AFTER REALIZING THAT HE HAD GONE SOMEWHAT MAD. HE THOUGHT OF KILLING HIS FELLOW ACHAEANS. WHEN HE REALIZES THIS HE DECIDES THAT HE CANNOT LIVE. HE STABS HIMSELF WITH HIS OWN SWORD.

THE TROJAN HORSE THE IDEA OF THE TROJAN HORSE IS INVENTED BY ODYSSEUS. THE STORY APPEARS IN SEVERAL PLACES BUT IS MOST RECOGNIZED FROM VIRGIL S THE AENEID.

AFTER SINON TRICKS THE TROJANS WITH THE ELABORATE STORY CREATED BY ODYSSEUS, THE TROJANS BRING IN THE HORSE WHICH IS FILLED WITH GREEKS.

LAOCOÖN SEVERAL TROJANS OPPOSE BRINGING THE HORSE WITHIN THE WALLS OF TROY. ONE IS LAOCOÖN WHO IS FAMOUS FOR SAYING, I FEAR THE GREEKS EVEN WHEN THEY COME BEARING GIFTS. HE THROWS A SPEAR AT THE BELLY OF THE HORSE AND IT REVERBERATES.

AFTER THIS, TWO PYTHONS COME AND COIL AROUND AND KILL BOTH HE AND HIS TWO CHILDREN.

CASSANDRA CASSANDRA IS ONE OF PRIAM S S DAUGHTERS. CASSANDRA WAS GIVEN THE GIFT OF PROPHESY BY POSEIDON. UNFORTUNATELY NO ONE COULD EVER BELIEVE HER. SHE WARNED THE TROJANS ABOUT THE HORSE BUT THEY PAID NO ATTENTION TO HER. SHE PLAYS A VERY IMPORTANT ROLE LATER IN THE STORY.

TROY IS DESTROYED ACHILLES SON PYRRHUS KILLS ASTYANAX BY THROWING HIM OVER THE WALLS OF TROY. ANDROMACHE IS TAKE AS A SLAVE BY

PRIAM IS KILLED PYRHHUS THEN KILLS PRIAM BY STABBING HIM. PRIAM SAYS THAT ACHILLES WAS A GREATER MAN THAN PYRHHUS. PRIAM THEN WEAKLY THROWS A SPEAR AT PYRHHUS. PYRHHUS THEN SLAYS HIM.

TROY IS BURNING AS TROY IS BURNING, ONE MAN REALIZES THAT IT IS HIS FATE TO LEAVE TROY AND FOUND A NEW PLACE FOR THE TROJANS. HE GOES TO GET HIS FATHER ANCHISES.

AENEAS AND ANCHISES FOCUS INITIALLY ANCHISES DOES NOT WANT TO LEAVE BUT AENEAS CARRIES HIM OFF AS WELL AS HIS SON ASCANIUS, AND HIS WIFE CREUSA.

CREUSA DISAPPEARS IN THE PROCESS OF ESCAPING TROY, AENEAS DOES NOT NOTICE THAT HIS WIFE HAS FALLEN BEHIND. WHEN HE RUNS BACK TO FIND HER HE FINDS THAT SHE HAS BEEN KILLED. HE ENCOUNTERS HER GHOST WHO TELLS HIM TO MOVE ON AND TAKE CARE OF THEIR SON ASCANIUS.

HELEN AND MENELAUS REUNITED REUNITED AND IT FEELS SO GOOD? NOTICE THE VASE. NONETHELESS MENELAUS IS FINALLY REUNITED WITH HIS WIFE AFTER TEN YEARS OF SEPARATION. AT ONE POINT AENEAS HAD SEEN HELEN AND WANTED TO KILL HER. HE WAS STOPPED BY HIS MOTHER APHRODITE.

THE RAPE OF CASSANDRA CASSANDRA WANTED TO AVOID BEING CAPTURED AND SHE RUNS INTO THE TEMPLE OF ATHENA. AS SHE HANGS ONTO A STATUE/THE IMAGE OF ATHENA AJAX PULLS HER AWAY. ATHENA BECOMES ANGERED BY THIS AND WILL CAUSE THE GREEKS GREAT PROBLEMS ON THE TRIP BACK.

ATHENA AJAX CASSANDRA THE RAPE OF CASSANDRA AGAMEMNON, WHO HAS A WIFE BACK HOME, ENDS UP TAKING CASSANDRA AS HIS SEX TOY. HE BRINGS HER BACK HOME AND HIS WIFE WHO IS ANGERED BY HIS MURDER OF THEIR DAUGHTER KILLS HIM AND CASSANDRA. CASSANDRA WHO HAD THE GIFT OF PROPHESY KNEW WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN BUT DID NOT CARE.

THE STORY NOW GOES IN MANY DIRECTIONS. ODYSSEUS STORY CONTINUES IN THE ODYSSEY.
