Citizenship - Connecting people throughout Europe Dear Charter friends, On behalf of our local community, I am pleased to invite you from 22nd - 25th March 2012, to the small meeting which will take place in our locality Nagycenk. This meeting is a part of the networks of twinned towns project of the Charter of European Rural Communities. In accordance with the agenda of the European Charter, I invite five participants from each of the following six members: Cashel (Ireland), Hepsted (Germany), Strzyzow (Poland), Medzev (Slovakia), Ibanesti (Romania), (Maglish (Bulgaria). Also the president Mr Frans Ronnes, the vice president Mr. Karl Grammanitsch and Ms Helma Van Drunen are invited. I will also invite five participants from Nagycenk. The main topic for this conference is: "Demographic development in rural areas. Ageing and decrease of the population and the effects for the liveability in the villages. With regards to this, we expect every delegation to prepare a short presentation, based on the previously completed questionnaires, about the theme. The conference will be in English. Arrivals will be on Thursday 22 nd March and departures on Sunday 25 th March. Accommodation will be with host families. Please complete the delegate form attached of this invitation and return it by email as soon as possible. For the delegations who are planning to arrive by plane, it is suggested to schedule there flight to Vienna International Airport. The airport is served by low cost carriers, and we are planning to run transfers from these airport. International train services arrive into Budapest international stations (Budapest Keleti, Budapest Nyugati, and Budapest Déli) or Győr station. It is not recommended that you arrive in Budapest international stations, as these are c. 3 hours' drive from Nagycenk and would involve (underground) metro transfers Citizenship - Connecting people throughout Europecrossing Budapest.
