How to get there Approaching Freiburg by plane via Frankfurt/Main Airport Freiburg and Fraunhofer ISE are easily accessible by public transport. To use the Frankfurt airport is very convenient, since there are many flights to Frankfurt/Main and the long-distance railway station is in the airport building. You can take a long-distance train (ICE) from Frankfurt Airport to the Central Station Freiburg (direct train or 1 change in Mannheim, one train per hour and about 2 hours drive). Approaching Freiburg by plane via Basel Airport The airport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg is only 60 km from Freiburg, but it provides less flights. It is about an hour drive from the airport to Freiburg, you can take an Airport Bus (45 minutes) to Freiburg Hauptbahnhof (central station). Price: about 25 Euros one way. Approaching Freiburg by plane via Zurich Airport The airport of Zurich is also about 2 hours by train from Freiburg. From Freiburg Hauptbahnhof (central station) to the venue / Hotel Stadt Freiburg: Take tram line 4 (in direction of Messe), get off at Elsässer Straße, from there it is a one-minute walk to Fraunhofer ISE. At tram station turn right into Elsässerstraße, turn left at the first street, which is Heidenhofstraße.
