2 JULY 2018 Our team at The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center values our relationship with you and appreciates your business. We understand that The Ritz-Carlton brand may be one of the reasons you chose to work with us. A strong brand identity indicates that a company adheres to exceptional standards of quality and performance. Thus, we have created these external marketing guidelines to help maintain the quality and integrity of The Ritz-Carlton brand. We ask that our customers follow these brand guidelines in order to preserve the reputation of The Ritz-Carlton and present the standards of The Ritz-Carlton in a consistent manner. We also kindly request that all external marketing materials, including social media posts, are reviewed by our Marketing & Programs team (leadershipcenter@ritzcarlton.com) prior to release. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY 5 Organizations who wish to reproduce the copyrighted materials of the Company, such as the Credo card or workbooks by The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center, should submit their request in writing to The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center. This request should include the context in which the material will appear (for example, the text of the article or publication). As a general matter, The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center does not grant such requests unless a strategic value to The Ritz-Carlton can be demonstrated.
LOGO 6 THE RITZ-CARLTON LOGO It is the policy of The Ritz-Carlton not to allow suppliers, vendors, or clients to use The Ritz-Carlton logo in the promotion of their businesses. You are forbidden to use The Ritz-Carlton logo in any promotional materials such as websites, brochures, and advertising. THE RITZ-CARLTON LEADERSHIP CENTER LOGO The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center does not allow suppliers, vendors or clients to use The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center logo. You are prohibited from using the logo in any marketing materials. This includes website, emails, flyers, advertisements, social media, or other printed materials. THE RITZ-CARLTON LEADERSHIP CENTER WORDMARK Customers may request to use the Wordmark of The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center.
NAMING CONVENTIONS 7 THE RITZ-CARLTON NAME Prior to using any literature in print, electronic or any other media, containing The Ritz-Carlton name, your organization should submit proposed materials to The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center for review and approval. The Ritz-Carlton name should not be used by your organization without prior written consent from The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center. THE RITZ-CARLTON LEADERSHIP CENTER NAME You may use The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center in your promotional materials for contracted speaking engagements. Prior to using The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center name in any literature in print, electronic or any other media, your organization should submit proposed materials to The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center for review and approval. Please note that The is part of the company name. Also, The Ritz-Carlton should never be separated by a line or page break, and it should not be used in the possessive or plural sense. THE RITZ-CARLTON PROPERTY NAMES You may identify a property by name The Ritz-Carlton, (hotel location) in your promotional materials if it is the location of a contracted speaking engagement.
PHOTOGRAPHY 8 FOR PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES Hotel photography is available for use in promotional materials if your contracted speaking engagement is taking place at one of The Ritz-Carlton hotels. HOTEL PHOTOGRAPHY DURING PRESENTATIONS If your speaking engagement is taking place at one of The Ritz-Carlton hotels, photography of the hotel during the presentation is strictly forbidden and will only be permitted with permission from the hotel management. SOCIAL MEDIA You may share photos of the speaker on social media during presentations, assuming prior approval of the image and copy by The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center. The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center presentations contain copyrighted material. Therefore, you are prohibited from photographing the slide deck during presentations.
ADVERTISING & PRESS RELEASES 9 ADVERTISING Prior to using The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center name in print, electronic or other media, it must be submitted for review and approval to The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center. This includes advertisements about upcoming speaking engagements or any advertisement that refers to the work we have either completed or are in process of completing with you. PRESS RELEASES In select instances, press releases that mention The Ritz-Carlton or your work with The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center will be permitted. Please send all press releases to The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center prior to release to media outlets.
SOCIAL MEDIA & VERBIAGE 10 SOCIAL MEDIA You may share your experience with us over social media. Please note the approved verbiage below and provide your post to The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center prior to posting. We welcome your engagement: Our Twitter handle is @RitzCarltonLC, and we use the hashtag #RCgold Please feel welcome to tag us on LinkedIn at The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center APPROVED VERBIAGE You may say that you or your organization have: Attended a course from The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center Benchmarked the business practices of The Ritz-Carlton Worked with The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center Featured a speaker from The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center For legal reasons, our attendees may not state that they have/have been: Trained by The Ritz-Carlton, Certified by The Ritz-Carlton, Partnered with The Ritz-Carlton. ARTICLES & INTERVIEWS 11 ARTICLES Any articles, including those that appear online, that mention The Ritz-Carlton or The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center must be submitted to The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center for review and approval prior to publication. SPEAKER INTERVIEWS The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center can only participate in articles for printed publications such as organization newsletters or magazines if the public relations department of The Ritz-Carlton grants approval and permission. Requests for interviews with a speaker must be submitted to The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center one month prior to the interview taking place. The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center will need to review all questions in advance and will require final approval rights before the article is published.
DIGITAL MEDIA 12 DIGITAL MEDIA OVERVIEW Speakers from The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center may be available to help promote (i.e., podcast, radio, TV, etc. on radio and/or TV) your upcoming speaking engagement. Please contact The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center and check the speaker s schedule and availability prior to making any commitments with the media. AUDIO & VIDEO RECORDINGS Permission will not be granted to record, broadcast, edit, transcribe, duplicate, or distribute any information pertaining to the presentations, in any medium. All components of the presentations, including any PowerPoint slides used by the speaker in conjunction with the presentation, are proprietary to The Ritz-Carlton and The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center and will not be provided to the organization before, during, or after the presentation.
CREATIVE REVIEW 13 We kindly request that you submit all marketing materials and requests referenced in this document, including social media posts, to The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center at leadershipcenter@ritzcarlton.com. Feedback will typically be given in 2-3 business days.
