We have reserved The Kyle Academy Lecture Theatre,in Ayr, and His lecture/demo will be delivered on Thursday 2 October 2014, at 7.00pm for 7.30pm. The venue has been chosen because of its viewing facilities and parking availability. This will be Glyn s first appearance in Scotland and he will present his unique photography and retouching techniques in a highly entertaining format containing fantastic images and his mind boggling Photoshop techniques from a vast repertoire. The tickets for this one off event are limited to around 225 and we would urge all Scottish Clubs to send a representative group along to what promises to be an enjoyable and brilliantly informative evening. Anyone interested in attending can gain initial information at http://www.ayrps.com/. Further details, in the form of a video, will be sent to those clubs expressing an interest. Hoping to see you all on the night. edmundtelford@btinternet.com PAGB AWARDS FOR PHOTOGRAPHIC MERIT ADVISORY WORKSHOP Just wanted to say "thank you" for the advisory day last Sunday in Glasgow. I found it very useful and quite a learning experience. I am not good at spotting problems with my photos or deciding the quality, so to have so many experts giving their opinions was very helpful. I have managed to get a place next April for assessment. Libby Smith & Rod Wheelans with Neil Smith & Hunter Kennedy at a recent APM Workshop in QPCC clubrooms.

DAVID CALLAN, HON. PRESIDENT, AYR PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY Ayr Photographic Society have to inform you, with great sadness, of the passing of our Honorary President, David Callan. David was a renowned Natural History photographer who had been an active member of Ayr PS for over 30 years. With countless local, national and International awards to his credit, his further participation in our competitions and exhibitions will be sorely missed. His striking images however will live for a long time in our memories. Margaret Beattie, Hon. Sec. Ayr P.S.
