Let me introduce myself. I am Kinga... I am extremely proud of my homeland. The natural environment and landscapes of my Pieniny Mountains are unique in Europe. Their exceptional ecological purity has been protected for over seventy years by the Pieniny National Park. Its most renowned tourist attraction is the rafting trip down the Dunajec River Gorge, with unrivalled views of limestone peaks towering overhead. But I also recommend trails leading along ravines (including the famous Homole Ravine) and creeks, to the summits of Trzy Korony (Three Crowns), Sokolica and Wysokie Skałki (High Rocks). Explore my fauna and flora some of the species cannot be found anywhere else! Clean and healthy mineral waters are one of the greatest treasures of this land. Their wonderful taste and quality have been cherished since olden times. In the 19 th century water from the area of Krościenko was bottled and dispatched to nearby Lviv, Vienna and even as far as Switzerland. These days I represent the waters from Krościenko in the United States. Legend has it that the local springs are a gift from St. Kinga, the Mistress and Patroness of the Pieniny mountains a Hungarian princess who married a Polish prince and came to love this land. My springs located in the protection zone of the national park in Krościenko-upon- -Dunajec are named after her. Welcome to my home turf!
