Local time GMT 5 Electricity The electricity supply in Peru is 220 Volts AC, 60 Hz. Most outlets are two-pin (European standard) but also accept the USE type (with two flat parallel blades) Water It is highly recommended to only drink bottled or filtered water and use that water for brushing your teeth. In restaurants try not to order fresh salad or juice. Cabs services Please ask the clinic personnel to arrange taxis for you. Taxis are unmetered and the price should be agreed upon beforehand. Uber and EasyTaxi smartphone applications are excellent ways to use taxi services. Personal safety We recommend taking precautions in public places and main tourist attractions as you would back home.
