Stagecoach will run special daytime buses on service 43. No other buses will run. Special buses will run on these services: Arriva 245 and 247. Diamond 126, 132 and 300. First 8, 17, 36, 37, 68, 81, 83, 93, 98, 100, 135, 163, 184, 409, 471 and 582. Rosso 468, 469 and Red4 Transdev X43. Stagecoach 23, 42, 43, 50, 76, 85, 86, 101, 118, 192, 201, 203, 204, 216, 219, 250, 256, 330 and X50. Special buses will also run between Manchester city centre and Old Trafford for Manchester United v Huddersfield Town match. No other buses will run. Buses will run a normal or modified weekday service, or Saturday service with additional early morning buses on some routes. Normal Sunday service. Buses will run a normal or modified weekday service, or Saturday service with additional early morning buses on some routes. Most buses will stop running from 6pm onwards. Stagecoach 42, 43, 86, 192, 201 and 219 run until approximately 4am on the morning of New Year s Day. Special daytime buses will run on these services: Stagecoach 42, 43, 86, 101, 192, 201, 203, 219 and 250. No other buses will run. Wednesday 2 January to Friday 4 January Normal service resumes except a modified weekday timetable will run on some Stagecoach routes and a modified Saturday timetable will run on most First routes. Saturday 5 January onwards Normal service resumes.

Free bus and Metroshuttle Free bus in Manchester city centre Buses will run every day except Christmas Day. Services 1 and 2 will run a Sunday timetable on Boxing Day and New Year s Day. Bolton and Stockport Metroshuttle Buses will not run on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year s Day. All services run normally on other days. Metrolink Normal Monday service with last trams departing Manchester city centre at approximately 9pm. Saturday service with extra trams for Manchester United v Huddersfield Town match. Access to Piccadilly Metrolink stop will be from Fairfield Street only. Normal weekday service. Sunday service with extra trams for Manchester United v Bournemouth match. Trams on the Bury, Rochdale and Manchester Airport lines will be affected by planned engineering works until 8am, with replacement buses in operation. Saturday service with last trams departing from Manchester city centre at approximately 1am on New Year s Day. Sunday service. Wednesday 2 January onwards Normal weekday service resumes.

Local trains Industrial action is likely to affect rail services during the festive period. Currently the only strike date announced during this period is Saturday 29 December but please check Northern rail s website for further announcements. Normal Monday service, but trains will stop running from 7pm onwards. Weekday service excluding some early morning trains. No services will run to/from Manchester Victoria. Rail replacement bus services will operate between Manchester Victoria and Stalybridge, Rochdale and Salford Central. The line between Warrington Central and Widnes will be closed. Local stopping services will operate between Manchester Oxford Road and Warrington Central with other services diverted via Newton-le-Willows. Some changes will also be made to late night services on 27 December.
