CIRRUS AIRPLANE MAINTENANCE MANUAL Baggage Door CHAPTER 52-30: BAGGAGE DOOR GENERAL 52-30: BAGGAGE DOOR 1. General The baggage door is located on the left side of the fuselage, just aft of the wing. This door allows easy access to the baggage compartment. The baggage door contains a molded storage pocket for storing small lightweight items. The baggage door is hinged on the forward edge and latched on the rear edge. The door is locked from the outside with a key. The baggage compartment key will also open the cabin doors. Serials w/ Convenience Lighting: A magnetic proximity sensor installed on the fuselage above the baggage door is connected to the convenience system controller. When the cabin light switch is in the ON and AUTO positions, the baggage lights turn on when the baggage door is opened and turn off when the baggage door is closed. For information regarding convenience lighting, see Lights. (Refer to 33-00) Serials w/ Perception: The Perception sensor fairing and arm assembly protrudes through the baggage door. For maintenance practices related to Perception, see Infared Sensors. (Refer to 93-50) 1 27 Dec 2017
