The crew of eleven, including Father Jerry Kelly, a Maryknoll Missionary, left from the back parking lot early Wednesday morning and returned on Sunday afternoon. Two more arrived on Thursday: One plus twelve disciples! Due a death in the family, Dick Horstman, one of the main planners with Father Troy did not make the trip. Father led us in prayer each morning and evening. Mission House Wednesday Deck and stairs in back Old Tennis Court with BB Hoop Physician s home purchased by the Benedictine Sisters Lovely backyard with BB Pit sleeps 10 tents First on the Agenda which homes; what are the needs? He had done it all but was debilitated by a work injury. The roof on this house had some small leaks, needed patching, even a new roof. The crew ran out of time. Henry and Robert
Jose s Mobile Home Trailer Thursday Friday Ramp boards were uneven; windows/door need paint Jim sealed the whole roof standing on 2 x 6 s Insulation needed covering; vent pipe was not connected. Paneling on walls and ceiling and floor tiles were installed. Jerry sands the window frame prepping for paint. Challenge of the day: To connect the vent pipe with the hole in the ceiling/roof which was 6 off center? Sal avoids the sun as he sands. Distractions: Roosters and Turn Left, Father, L-E-F-T. Jim replaces window. Nick finishes roof.
More of Jose s Mobil Home Trailer John measures panel to be cut for a non-square hole. Front Door was easy - installed striker plates in 2 doors. The previously reduced window was more challenging. Hugh and Robert mask the new screen door for painting. Jose enjoys the smooth ramp and deck covered with. treated plywood and railing which was installed in 1.5 hrs. The new screen door was also installed. John enlarged the hole to receive the new air vent. Window frames have been painted; the red now white. A new window pane installed lower right. The Yellow House Friday The Soffit at the Front Entrance needed help. Sister greets resident. The Crew sizes up job The reward is a job well done. Patches and tar stopped the leaks. The Tarped House Saturday There were a lot of questions: re-shingle; patch; tarp. The roof has many soft spots when walking on it. It had been previously patched and still has hail damage. That is a hole framed by vines. It s 2 inches x 3 inches

Mission House Repair Saturday Official Painters at the Front Entrance Favorite Place: the place to eat. Sister & Sandra the cook Is the trim black? Is it red? Is it Polish?. Up the step from the front entrance, the sitting area for March Madness. Besides major back yard landscaping and mower repair, there were the challenging sprinklers; wires change color. Master Bedroom sleeps ten! Prayer at the Fence Saturday Sister made dog bones for those who worked like dogs! Father Jerry led the crew in prayer at the fence.
