March Ride and Notes March 12th As you are all aware (or maybe not all), the March ride hit a snag when we learned that Pine Tree Lodge would be out of the questions due to the rain that hit so many of our neighbors. Our thoughts continue to be with those that have suffered losses due to the storms. Remember all Chapter Rides are Closed Rides (bring a friend) 3 of 10
February Ride Deux Remember Chapter rides are Closed. Bring a Friend. 22 Bikes, 28 Riders showed @ HD of Lake Charles for the February Ride Deux. Mild temps and a Blue Bird sky set us up for an enjoyable ride to Fat Boy and Skinny's for lunch. Some made an early departure to return home at that point while 16 Bikes continued on to the Long Leaf Vista Lookout in Kisatchie National Forest. Good time had by all. Johnny B led the first group swept by Cody R. Jane A led the second group swept by Randall H. 4 of 10

Hello my name is Linda Nixon and I have been the secretary of the Hog Chapter 1686 for the past four years. I am married to Roy Nixon and we have been married for 49 years, we live in Kinder. We joined the Hog club in 2000 when Roy retired from Bell South. We have traveled to over 30 states on our Harley. We enjoy riding and meeting a lot of new people. I'm from Illinois and will be going back in June to celebrate my 50th class reunion. You never meet a stranger when you are on a Harley. We have been to Sturgis twice, the first time we rode never again that is to long of a ride. I don't ride as much as I use to, the grandson toke my place. Our daughter and son-in-law both ride Harleys and our grandson owns Harley stock. Our Hog club is like my family, we enjoy getting together with everyone. If you get to read this in our news letter and you're not a member you need to come by and join our club and enjoy life on the back of a Harley... it is fun... 9 of 10
PENDING ROAD TRIPS Did you know that Roger has created a page on the website dedicated to 3 day or more trips? You need to email him if you have one planned, but the more that we can share the more we can enjoy the road together. There are already a couple of rides listed so go check it out. FACEBOOK PAGE! Most of you know we have a Facebook Page dedicated to LC HOG. Some of you may even have noticed there has been an increase in activities recently. Let's make it more useful. Going for a short run to DeRidder or Jennings or just planning to ride around town? Get on there and let everyone know that you are going and where you are leaving from and when. The worst that can happen is you have some company! 10 of 10
