Description Gite Truffe is a pretty stone gite, deep in the Dordogne, of 40m2 situated in a tranquil but not isolated country location, with a south west aspect. Located in its own enclosed garden, within the owners 1 hectare gated property. The gite is adjacent to the owners 17th century stone house, but not overlooked. Free undercover parking suitable for one vehicle is available for guests. The owners welcome couples and families alike. On the ground floor the gite comprises of a well equipped kitchen/lounge/dining room including; dining table and chairs, settee, LED TV, and free WIFI internet access. In addition there is a refrigerator, dish washer, multifunction microwave oven, two plate ceramic hob, kettle, toaster and coffee maker, vacuum cleaner, iron, ironing-board and clothes airer. There is also a shower room with shower cubicle, towel radiator, hair drier, washbasin and toilet. Upstairs on the first floor are two separate well furnished bedrooms. Beautiful country views are afforded from both rooms. The main bedroom includes a kingsize bed and the second bedroom a double bed. (The main bedroom is accessed through the second bedroom. This perhaps makes the gite more suitable for family use). However, there are no facilities for children under the age of 5 years. Towels and bed linen is included. Outside there is a pretty garden with a new patio area which leads to a raised terrace and pergola (construction to
be completed by the end of March) and includes a charcoal BBQ, table and chairs. The terrace is ideally suited for "al fresco" dining for you to enjoy breakfasts and long leisurely dinners relaxing in the warm Dordogne summer evenings. There is an new enclosed 10m swimming pool (construction will be completed by the end of April) with a relaxing and spacious sun terrace, shared only with the owners. It is equipped with sun loungers and chairs. On arrival you can enjoy a complimentary "Welcome" basket including; wine, baguette, croissants, butter, milk and cheese. Nearby there is a local bakery and supermarket approximately 5 minutes away. Sarlat has a bustling colourful weekly market and offers a fabulous choice of bistros, restaurants and cafes. Sarlat is famous for and prides itself on its local gastronomy foie gras, duck, goose, truffles and walnuts. Discover the many artisan shops and boutiques in the old city where these and many other delights can be found. Please note; The property has no wheelchair access or facilities and equipment for people with disabilities. We do not supply towels for use at the pool. Prices Prices shown are per week and are inclusive of all electricity and water. Excessive use of utilities will be charged at extra cost. Please note the water supply is metered. Bookings are for a minimum of 3 days. Bed linen and all towels are provided. The owners ask that you bring your own towels for use at the pool. 3. Cancellations It is recommended that you take out insurance to protect the risk of cancellation from the time of booking and for medical, baggage cover etc., whilst abroad. Should the gite become unavailable on the day stated for any reason, all rent monies will be refunded, but no further liability will fall upon the owners. The owners accept no responsibility for personal injury to, or death of, any guests, or loss of or consequential loss or damage to their property, or for other matters arising from the negligence or wilful default of the owner. 4. Your responsibilities The property will be cleaned before your arrival and the owner respectfully ask you to leave the property in a clean and tidy state when you depart. All breakages/damage be reported to the owners immediately, in order that they can be rectified as quickly as possible. Please help with recycling by separating your waste and placing it in the bags provided. Please note, the gite is connected to a fosse septic do not put sanitary items or other objects that may cause a blockage in the toilet. Smoking is not allowed in the gite and/or pool area. Please let the owner know, if you expect to arrive after 19.00hrs on the day of your arrival or leave early on the day of your departure. Please ensure that the keys and fob to the property are returned to the owner on your day of departure. 5. Complaints In the event of any complaint arising, either on arrival or after occupation has commenced, this should be brought to the attention of the owners immediately, in order that the matter may be resolved without delay. Complaints will be dealt with as quickly and effectively as possible. The owners retain the right to enter the property at any
reasonable time to deal with any complaints and to carry out any repairs deemed necessary to property or equipment. Any complaint after departure must be notified in writing within 14 days of the departure date. 6. Swimming Pool Open May to September The pool is available from 10.00hrs 19.00hrs. The pool has a varying depth up to 1.85m. Please use your own towels when at the pool and not the gite towels provided by the owner. Guests use the pool at there own risk and are responsible for the safety of themselves and any children. Children MUST BE supervised at all times. Please do not dive, bomb or make unnecessary splashing or noise. No glass or china whatsoever is allowed in the pool area. Please use the plastic glasses provided in the gite. No food (including chewing gum) is allowed in the pool area. Please be careful when using pool items such as umbrellas and sun loungers and report any damage to the owners. Smoking is not allowed in and around the pool area. 7. Garden and Grounds The garden and ground areas are for the enjoyment of all guests please be considerate when using these areas. No ball games are allowed. Please respect the quiet nature of the neighbourhood. 8. Pets. Pets are not allowed. 9. General Whilst every possible effort will be made to maintain the pool, gardens, properties and household equipment in good order for the enjoyment of guests, the owners cannot accept any liability in the event of any unforeseen circumstances. The owners ask that guests allow time for these matters to be rectified as soon as possible. 10. Cars & Parking On arrival please park your vehicle in the on-site parking area/hangar. This is available for guest use at all times. All guests parking their vehicles on the premises do so at their own risk, the owners take no responsibility for accidents/damage howsoever caused. Terms and conditions Payment A deposit of 250 is required upon booking to secure your reservation. The balance is due 60 days prior to the start of the holiday along with the security deposit. Cancellation In case of cancellation of more than 30 days before the stated day of arrival the deposit will be forfeited. Where cancellation takes place within 30 days of stated date of arrival the full cost of the holiday will be forfeited. In the event that the owners have to cancel your booking, all payments already made will be totally refunded.
