Faculty of Civil Engineering University of Rijeka Radmile Matejčić 3 5000 Rijeka Croatia Rijeka, 3 rd December 05 Invitation to participate in the International Symposium: Dear all, CROSS-BORDER DRINKING WATER MANAGEMENT It is our pleasure to invite you to the International Symposium: Cross-border drinking water management that will be held in Rijeka on January 9 th 06 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Rijeka. The key objectives of the Symposium are to improve the scientific and practical knowledge about the cross-border water resources and water supply management and networking between scientists and experts in the water management field. The Symposium is organised within activities of the DRINKADRIA (Networking for drinking water supply in Adriatic region) project which is co-financed by the European Union, Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance, Adriatic Cross Border Cooperation Programme 007-03 and involves seventeen project partners from eight Adriatic countries. In order to insure dissemination of the Project results, research and its application between scientists, experts and the end users, during the Symposium information on new methodologies, approaches, practices within the field of the cross-border water management and the crossborder water supply management in the Adriatic region will be presented. Within the Symposium agenda as a part of the capitalisation activity, in order to discuss the Symposium topic Cross border drinking water management the Round table is organized. This Symposium is organised by the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University of Rijeka with the help of co-organisers Water Utility of Istria Ltd., Region of Istria and Croatian Geological Survey. All institutions are involved in DRINKADRIA project as partners. The official language of the Symposium is English, which means that the presentations and Round table will held in English. Papers presented during the Symposium will be published in the form of Symposium Proceedings.
