Introduction SPT is the brand name of the Passenger Transport Authority and Executive for Strathclyde. It's our job to join up journeys. We operate the Subway, invest in the rail network, financially support ferries and buses, operate bus stations and travel centres, manage bus stops and shelters and operate the Strathclyde concessionary fares scheme. We work to ensure the public transport that's provided meets the current and future needs of west central Scotland and is attractive, accessible, integrated, efficient and safe for people and our environment. SPT also collects large amounts of data on public transport supply and demand in the Strathclyde area. It's our aim to enable everyone to learn more about the performance of the public transport system so last year we published 'SPT Statistics and Trends 23. It was warmly received by the interested public and stakeholders. nd This is the 2 edition of SPT's Statistics and Trends. It features an even wider selection of statistics relating to travel in west central Scotland, which cover all major public transport modes. All data sets have been updated to the latest available year. We welcome comments on the content and format of this report - contact details are available on the back cover.
