Continuing Education Recognition Awards The Professional Education Society Symposium fee is $395 for each physician, dentist, nurse or health related professional and $195 for each non-professional or family member attending the seminar. Symposiums will be held in Gdynia, Poland; Visby, Sweden; Riga, Latvia; and St. Petersburg, Russia. Physicians: This program has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 16 prescribed hours by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dentists: The Professional Education Society, as provider, is authorized to confer up to 16 hours of California Continuing Education credit units and 16 FAGD/MAGD credit hours with the Academy of General Dentistry. The Professional Education Society is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. Professional Education Society designates this activity for 16 continuing education credits. Nurses: The provider is approved by the California Board of Registered Nurses, Provider Number CEP 5428, and is authorized to confer 16 contact hours for this program. Although the California Board of Registered Nurses does not approve individual continuing education courses, providers are required by law to be approved by the Board. Reciprocity for continuing education hours for nurses is available in most states. Please check with your regulation board regarding requirements. Tax Deduction This travel symposium, has been designed to comply with current IRS convention rules and deductibility requirements under Code Section 274(h)(1) as directly related to the conduct of the attendee s profession and meeting the reasonableness standard of the foreign seminar rules. The formal meetings will be scheduled with lectures and discussions. Seminars in conference rooms, clinics or hospitals will be conducted by foreign speakers as well as distinguished members of the Professional Education Society. Documentation verifying the scheduling dates, locations, hours of attendance, certificate of participation, and appropriate certificate of continuing medical, dental or nursing education will be provided at the completion of the conference. Consult your tax advisor for detailed information concerning deductibility of expenses related to your particular situation. Terms and Conditions Deposits: A deposit of 15% is required for all suites. The pre and/or post cruise deposit is $150 per person. The symposium deposit is $50 per person. Final Payment: Final payment is due by April 15, 2011. Trip cancellation insurance is highly recommended; information will be sent with your deposit confirmation. Single Travelers and Third Berth: Both single and triple occupancy is available on a limited basis and, subject to availability at the time of reservation. Not Included: Any increases in U.S. and Canadian air and airport taxes and security or fuel surcharges, travel insurance and all items of a strictly personal nature. Regent charges a $100 per person nonrefundable fee for any air deviations. Air deviations are required to participant in the pre and/or post cruise packages. Documentation for U.S. Citizens: Passports are required for travel; the fees are not included. A Russian Visa is required if you are venturing off in St. Petersburg on your own (not part of a Regent shore excursion). The Tourist Visa requirement is waived while participating on a Regent shore excursion. Cruise Cancellation: All cancellations must be made in writing to Professional Education Society and are subject to a $200 per person cancellation fee. Additional Regent Seven Seas Cruises cancellation charges policy: From time of deposit until March 19, 2011: $100 per person. From March 20 to April 15, 2011: 15% of full fare per person. From April 16 to May 28, 2011: 50% of full fare per person. From May 29 to June 17, 2011: 75% of full fare per person. From June 18 up to sailing date: 100% of full fare per person.
