TUESDAY 9 DECEMBER LADIES LUNCH The sun was shining as almost 80 ladies enjoyed a fabulous, fun filled end of year Ladies Lunch on the boats celebrating Christmas while cruising our beautiful Swan River. Special thanks go out to the boat owners who allowed us to use their boats on the day. As always the ladies were extremely generous with their gift giving in support of the K-Mart Wishing Tree Appeal. We would like to thank all who help make our monthly Ladies Lunches a success. We will be having a break in January with our next one set for Tuesday 10 February. We hope you can join us in the new year!

Yachting and Coffee Pointers will be amalgamated to the new look COFFEE POINTERS. WISHING TREE APPEAL This year the Ladies Lunch Group would like to invite all Members to take part in the Christmas Wishing Tree Appeal. The Kmart Wishing Tree appeal works with the Salvation Army to help thousands of needy families have a brighter Christmas. By purchasing an extra present next time you shop you can help give someone a better Christmas. A tree has been set up in Yachties Bar for Members who would like to give a gift. Simply leave your present and complete one of the tags hanging on the tree. Thank you in advance. FREMANTLE RAIL BRIDGE - SCAFFOLDING REMOVAL The Fremantle Rail Bridge sleeper replacement, technically known as transoms, is completed. Scaffolding removal impacts From January 17, 2015 scaffolding around the bridge, which allowed work to be safely completed, will be removed. For approximately four weeks while this scaffolding is being removed, a temporary scaffold will be in place and reduce the clearance under the bridge up to 1.2m from 8.1m to 6.9m. The removal will take place during normal construction hours and remove a maximum span of 2.5m at a time. Port access impacts As the bridge clearance will be 6.9m during this work, all high vehicles accessing the Fremantle Port and boat users travelling under the bridge should take this reduction into consideration. For more information visit the PTA website. Project email: projects@pta.wa.gov.au Project information: www.pta.wa.gov.au
