Also, visa requirements vary depending on the country of origin, please check in advance with the local peruvian embassy or consulate. Best time of the year to visit Peru To visit the coast of Peru, the climate is good all year round, it is always hot. To visit the Highlands and the Amazon Rainforest, it is recommended to travel between April and November, during the dry season, to avoid getting too much rain. Attire For the Coast, it is advisable to bring light clothes, sunblock, a hat and repellent. To visit the Amazon Rainforest, it is recommended to bring light clothing that covers the body to avoid mosquito bites (comfy pants, long cotton t-shirts, boots for mud walks) and repellent. To visit the Highlands, it is preferable to dress in layers as temperatures fluctuate during the day and at night, bring mountain shoes, sports shoes and a hat. Sunblock and repellent are always useful. Security Always keep your personal belongings under your supervision and care. Do not take taxis that circulate without signs or identification at night.
