FESTIVALITO EXCLUSIVO - BACK TO THE ROOTS It is vital to learn how to dance in crowded milongas where space is sometimes very limited. If you are able to dance in small areas, then it ll be very easy to adapt to milongas where you can use more space on the dance floor. The opposite however, is in general not achievable. Let s get back to the roots and discover the little details, which make the big difference. 4 different maestro couples will take you to a deeper insight of the close embrace, the most fundamental element in social argentine Tango dancing. The program covers 8 sessions of 1.5 hours each. Selected maestros: Los Totis Mariangeles Caamano and Facundo Gil Jauregui Valeria Zunino and Pablo Nievas Stefani Kang and Oscar Casas
FESTIVALITO EXCLUSIVO - BACK TO THE ROOTS THE 8 THEME WORKSHOPS WILL ANSWER QUESTIONS SUCH AS: - Can I socially fit in with the local tango community and overcome barriers of language and culture? - How shall I deal with the etiquette of tango in traditional milongas? - How to manage physical conditioning and adjust differences in height? - How to manage posture and weight in the close embrace? - How to walk in a close embrace? - How to create space in ochos and giros - What is cadencia and how to use it? - How to create useful patterns to move safely with confidence on a crowded floor? - How to create playful sequences interpreting the music? - Embellishments and when to use them? In all group classes, each student will have 1 assistant per person. After each lesson, we will spend 30 min extra time to continue practicing what we learnt, together with our assistants. NOTE: Some maestros might be on tour during April 2019. In that case, we will replace them with another Argentine couple.
