All I can say is WOW!!! What a winter we ve had so far! Mother Nature has gone out of her way to bless Western New York s ski areas with unbelievable amounts of snow, creating some s p ec ta c ul a r s k i i ng a n d boarding. It is truly a pleasure to go on the SCOL Facebook page and see the members taking advantage of conditions. SCOL members have been out in force, making our presence felt! Remember January is packed full of SCOL functions to partake in. Check out the web site and Facebook page to keep up to date on the where s and when s of these activities. When attending these events, please take the time to thank the chair people for taking the time and putting forth the effort to bring everyone together for a good time. Also ask questions. One of the events might be the one you want to take a shot at running next year and we are always looking for new chair people and fresh ideas! The Board of Directors has also been busy. We are finalizing updates to the club s By-Laws and should have them ready for membership review soon. I would like you to remember to thank the Board Members for the time and effort they have invested. Please also J a n u a r y 2 0 1 7 remember in February, there will be nominations for officers. If you have an interest or know someone with an interest to be a member of the board, please speak with any board member for more information. With snow being plentiful, I would like to again encourage everyone to get out on the hill. Please be mindful that the thermometer is doing its best impression of a yo-yo. Conditions can vary quickly from day to day and even trail to trail so be careful. We want everyone to remain uninjured and enjoy the full season. Whether on the hill, in the lodge, or out on the town let others know about SCOL and who we are. Have Fun, Be Safe.
