There is a big Chinese temple called the Temple of Zhen Jun Da Di ( 真君大帝 ). The temple was built about 100 years ago. The current temple building is bigger than the original which was razed in a fire which gutted the temple and surrounding houses after the fire, the villagers decided to rebuild the temple with donations and fund from local resident. Construction works finished in the year 2014. It should be noted that this temple is a branch of the big Zhen Jun Da Di temple in China. The strong support that locals give this temple shows that the majority of Chinese villagers are Taoists. Many ceremonies related to birth, death and marriage are held at this temple. Besides Taoists, there are small groups of Christians and Hindus in Bagan Utara. They worship at the local Anglican Church and Hindu Temple. 3
