First B7 DAY, 3 April 2004 at Cape Arkona, Rügen - Official opening of the Baltic-Culture Culture-Centre Centre incl. B7 presentation for invited guests - Planting of seven oaks as sign of co-operation operation of B7 Islands - Official opening of the Art exhibition Amber Gold of Ocean - International concert of young musicians from Bornholm, Hiiumaa, Klaipeda and Rügen R in the Putbus theatre

B7 Cooking Course, 24 April 2004 in Bergen Herring Weeks on RügenR Guest cook Mr. Anders Lindgren from Öland, supported by head cook Mr. Karl Haag from RügenR About 20 participants from Rügen R prepared typical Swedish herring dishes and had a pleasant and delicious evening

B7 Games on Gotland 29-31 July 2004, Visby - First time that all B7 Islands participated (300 youngsters) - Starting shot by Swedish Minister of Justice Competitions in football and athletics Öland became first winner with 7 gold medals Successful 5th B7 Games in Visby thanks for great organisation! - Next B7 Games will be on Hiiumaa!

B7 Conference: Nature Conservation and Sustainable Tourism in the Baltic Sea Region On 9 September 2004 on Vilm Island,Rügen Main objectives: - discussion on future perspectives of tourism and nature conservation in BSR - to analyse possibilities to combine sustainable tourism and nature conservation - to evaluate different EU funding possibilities - to strengthen the islands own activities in both fields & to improve interregional co-operation operation

B7 Conference: Nature Conservation and Sustainable Tourism in the Baltic Sea Region Results: 1. MEP Mr. Gomolka: High tendency within EU to support regional co-operations operations like B7 more in future 2. Establishment of a Baltic Club within EU Parliament 3. Preparations for re-starting the B7 WG Environment 4. Strengthening co-operation operation between B7 Islands in fields of sustainable tourism and nature conservation

B7 Security Meeting 21 24 October 2004, Rügen R Meeting of Chiefs of Police and Fire Brigades from B7 Islands Participants: 4 islands (Gotland, Saaremaa, Åland and Rügen) Main purpose: 1. Build up contacts between the islands 2. Exchange of ideas and experiences 3. Technical equipment 4. Presentation of own safety structures & methods RESULT: Invitation to 2 nd Security Meeting 2005 on Gotland

Christmas Cooking Course 27 November 2004, Bergen - 22 participants created international Christmas menu - Head cook Mr. Haag from Grone School Bergen - Christmas cookies from Danish, Swedish and Estonian recipes - becomes a tradition on Rügen R - next course in spring 2005
