If your unit is classified as such, you can follow the steps below to acquire a tax exempt certificate for Tennessee. Complete the one-page application (there is also a one-page instruction sheet). 5. Print the application and mail to the address listed on the instruction sheet. 6. Allow six weeks for processing. 7.
