DRS Mobile Demolition Shears by kinshofer page 1
THE PRODUCT: DEDICATED SHEARS OF THE DRS SERIES DRS scrap and demolition shears for every kind of vehicle scrapping and shipbreaking as well as for the crushing of industrial and mixed scrap such as cutting tanks, large tires, cables and steel ropes. In the demolition area it breaks concrete and cuts reinforcements. Three mounting versions allow for an optimum mount. Recommended excavator operating weight 18 75 t / 39600 165000 lbs (directly mounted to the boom) or 25 100 t / 55000 220000 lbs (mounted at the dipper). page 2

HOUSING Made of wear resistant, fine grained steel Compact design for stable & light construction HEAVY DUTY 360 0 DRIVE Endless rotation Driven by one or two motors Also available without rotation SHEAR ARM Solid design Hardox steel PIERCING TIP Exchangeable & reweldable tip; robust and stable shoedesign OPTIMAL MOUTH DESIGN Very high cutting force Large opening for scrap & concrete Offset APEX for excellent cutting performance, all blades can be used four times and be loosened from the outside HEAVY DUTY BEARING Robust and simple shear arm guiding system POWERFUL CYLINDER with speed valve fully protected long stroke page 8
USER BENEFIT EXTREME CUTTING FORCE Offset APEX design for excellent cutting performance APEX Upper jaw APEX Lower jaw page 9
USER BENEFIT JAW GUIDING SYSTEM Unique jaw guiding system Robust & simple design, with hardened & buffed shims, easy to maintain by tightening the lock nut of the main shaft before the jaw gets jammed. Jaw is fully guided by the shims Piercing tip / guiding blade starts to take over the jaw guiding Piercing tip / guiding blade are now guiding the jaw Jaw is fully closed page 10
WEAR PARTS BLADES AND PIERCING TIP Piercing Tip Exchangeable & re weldable Short blade (4x) Can be used four times Main blade (1x) Can be used four times Front cutter (1x) Can be used eight times page 11
WEAR PARTS BLADE LOCKING SYSTEM IN UPPER AND LOWER JAW Blade locking page 12
USER BENEFIT COMPACT AND DURABLE DESIGN 120% 100% 80% Closing-Force 60% 40% DRS-serie Competition 20% Cylinder bottom eye in case of cylinder w/o yoke design 0% DRS has better closing force curve thanks to yoke design! open 1/4 close 1/2 close 3/4 close full close Saves approx. 250 400 mm / 9.85 15.75 in housing length page 13
USER BENEFIT STRONG, LONG LIFTING CYLINDER The DRS has a long stroke cylinder in combination with a long leverage and a yoke design that creates higher cutting forces by smaller cylinder forces. Less cylinder force results in less reaction force for the bearings which then again leads to less friction, higher efficiency and service life for the shear! page 14
USER BENEFIT OPTIMUM JAW DESIGN No offset APEX Offset APEX Steel is more stretched out in the mouth and thus easier to cut Steel is compressed in one area as one solid piece being more difficult to cut page 15
EDITION AMERICANA EXCLUSIVE DESIGNS Available as of now: Exclusive airbrushed designs for DRS dedicated shears page 16
