Samui An Island Paradise Koh Samui, or simply Samui as it is often referred to by the locals, is an island off the east coast of the KraIsthmus in the Gulf of Thailand and located about 35km northeast of the mainland town of Surat Thani Province and forms part of Mu Ko Samui Archipelago. This journey has taken him to the far reaches of the world, from remote Himalayan ashrams, to his initiation by a master monk in a sacred Sak-Yant ceremony in the North East of Thailand.
