Programme of the Second Annual ACCSEAS Conference 4th-6th March 2014 to be held at Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh, UK Conference Theme: ACCSEAS: Evolving Navigation in the North Sea Region Conference Chair and Principal Facilitator: Nick Lambert, CMarTech, FIMarEST Attendance at the Conference and its associated events is free of charge. The conference will be of interest to a wide range of maritime stakeholders across the North Sea Region and Europe, addressing future maritime issues for safe and efficient accessibility of the region s ports. Participants will be encouraged to identify the current gaps in training and identify how best training could be offered and supported in the future. Provision of e-navigation Services in the future Facilitators: Mr Mads Bentzen Billesø, & Mr Thomas Christensen, DMA This workshop aims to present and understand the possible opportunities, risks and concerns linked to delivering future e-navigation services and capture reactions from participants. It is also an opportunity to further discuss the concept of the Maritime Cloud, and what it means to service providers and users alike. Beyond ACCSEAS: The wider logistics chain Facilitators: Mr George Shaw & Dr. Alan Grant, GLA This workshops aims to present and explore the wider impact and relevance of e-navigation to North Sea Region ports and their inland logistics. Participants will be asked to discuss the potential impact upon, time, safety and cost efficiencies and the role that e-maritime could play.

DETAILED LOGISTICAL INFORMATION FOR EVENTS On Arrival Photo ID will be required on arrival on Day 1. There will be a staffed area for luggage. Day 2 Evening Conference Dinner (Dress code: Smart/Casual day wear) Dinner Start: 19.00 pm (arrival at Dynamic Earth) Dinner End: 11.00 pm Cost of the Buffet Dinner food and soft drinks for delegates is included in the registration. A complimentary welcome drink will be provided. Delegates are welcome to purchase further alcoholic drinks at their own expense. Specific dietary requirements will be catered for if notified by delegates in advance on the conference registration form. Day 3 Professional Study Tour Departure from conference venue: 10.00am Arrive at The Falkirk wheel: 11:00am Completion of Tours: 13:30pm Buses will be provided to transport delegates to The Falkirk Wheel and back to Edinburgh Airport or Dynamic Earth.
