The evening, which was dedicated to appreciation, commenced with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony in the lobby, where our very own Christmas choir entertained guests. VIPs, together with the hotel staff, lit up the 8.5 m (27.9 ft) Christmas tree, while 100 copies of Christmas cards from the guests and staff were hung to express holiday wishes. The evening ended with a gala dinner and charity auction with the Chi Heng Foundation. Culture. Beauty. Savoir-Vivre. Gourmet. These qualities define Kempinski's culture and remain as fundamental European values. For example, Kempinski s Ladies in Red welcomed the VIPs while German flavours and authentic Bavarian elements were presented and trendy, homemade Christmas cupcakes were specifically created for all the VIPs, highlighting Kempinski s innovative culinary concepts. 2/5
