Welcome About our Camp Each week, children ages 5-12 jump into action, participating in exciting sports programs, exploring nature, becoming involved in performing and creative arts, playing a part in group activities, and attending special events. Our campers expand their horizons, embark on new adventures, and most importantly have fun. Our exceptional program and dedicated staff create an environment that forges lifelong friendships among our campers. We create a summer experience that is unforgettable! Our camp features a unique selection of indoor and outdoor activities and field trips that take advantage of resources in the local area. Campers will take part in recreational swimming and a field trip once per week! Our specialty camps are optional programs, operating during regular camp hours, which provide even more choices for unique and exciting adventures. Specialty camp options will be available March 2018. Activity Blocks Invention Convention Calling all inventors! We know our campers have big ideas and we want to see them in action. Invention Convention will focus on brainstorming, designing and sharing invention ideas. Digital Vision Campers explore the tools necessary to capture great images and videos, and refine them through digital imaging. Minute to Win It Campers will get a thrill from working together to complete fun, and sometimes silly, tasks all before time runs out on the clock. Ready, set, go! Recycled Beautifully Our campers will see how one person's trash can be another person's treasure by turning recycled materials into beautiful and useful items. STEAM Academy Challenging and fun projects encourage collaboration, decision making, and innovation. Students work together to solve problems, while developing a love of science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Leave a Legacy Campers learn about how they can be heroes in their communities, and find creative ways to give back to those in need. Express Yourself Let your hidden talents shine! Campers develop creativity and confidence through singing, dancing, acting and more. Rise Up Dream it. Build it. Wreck it. Repeat! Campers build elaborate objects, structures and vehicles, while exploring fundamental principles of engineering and physics. Game Changer We hope our campers are ready for some good old fashioned fun. They ll have a blast building their skills in a variety of indoor and outdoor games. Food for Thought Campers learn kitchen fundamentals and culinary techniques as they slip on their aprons and create yummy snacks. They'll be a master chef in no time! Domino Tricks The game of dominoes is fun, but we have a little twist in store for our campers. We are challenging campers to come up with their best domino toppling tricks. Master Maker From painting, to sculpting, to drawing and more, campers are empowered to express their inner artist and let their imaginations soar.
Specialty Camps All of our specialty camps are optional programs that are held during regular camp hours. These camps provide even more choices for unique and exciting adventures. Below are a few of our options that will be available. Legacy Karate Camp Master Versland of Legacy Karate will offer our campers a week long karate camp! Campers will learn karate basics, judo, body weight training, and breaking. Martials arts games will round out their day! Horseback Riding Campers will get a safe introduction to riding under the watchful eye of the instructors. Learn how to saddle and bridle, mount and dismount, how to greet a horse and how to lead. No prior riding experience necessary. Art Camp Campers will explore the techniques of sculpting and glazing pottery, mosaic tile work, as well as canvas painting. Football Camp Lil Sports will teach our campers of the basics of football! Campers will learn technique, participate in drills, and play the game during this week long camp! UK Soccer Camp The UK Soccer Coaches will lead our players throughout the week in a variety of activities. Campers will learn dribbling, passing, ball control, and shooting throughout the camp. Dance Camp Campers will head to Le Roux School of Dance to take part in an introductory dance camp. The students will dance the week away to a TROLLS themed instruction!
Field Trips All of our campers will participate in a field trip every Friday! All of our trips are included in our weekly camp rate. Below are a few of the trips that our campers will take this summer! A schedule of trips will be available in March 2018. LegoLand Discovery Center LEGOLAND Discovery Center offers a handson learning adventure which includes science, mathematics, technology, and engineering design. Campers will reinforce collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. Campers will have interactive experiences to promote a fun filled learning experience! Waltz Golf Farm Campers can choose their course at Waltz Golf Farm. Whether it s the farm course, castle course, or the par 3- all of our children will get the chance to experience the game of golf! Limerick Bowl Our campers will head to the Limerick Bowling alley and perfect their bowling skills! Campers will participate in two games of bowling and enjoy a small snack. Hawk Mountain Hawk Mountain Sanctuary provides our campers with beautiful scenery while they hike the trail and lookout for the many hawks that call the mountain their home. Crayola Factory Crayola Experience combines education and entertainment to create the most unique and innovative trip. Learn how crayons are made in a live show, study the way Silly Putty is concocted in a real-time science experiment, enjoy an entire floor dedicated to melted wax and more! Academy of Natural Sciences Campers will have a dino-mite experience at the Academy of Natural Sciences this summer! Their day of fun will feature a visit to an interactive special exhibit, Xtreme Bugs, a stroll through a tropical garden filled with fluttering live butterflies, and encounters with live animals in the museum.
