FORMALITIES Your passport should be valid at least 10 months counting from voyage commencement. This is because some countries require passports to be valid at least six months at the time of entry. Tourist visas for the USA (concerning all non US- and Canadian citizens) and China (multiple entries, at least 2) are mandatory and must be available at boarding time according to the booked voyage segment! Passengers are further responsible for checking with respective consulates or embassies of all other countries called and for obtaining required documentation prior to boarding (please mention that you are going on a freighter trip!). Visa requirements may vary depending on the nationality of passengers. You will receive further information about visa formalities when booking a voyage. Vaccinations against Yellow Fever are compulsory for some segments! Please contact your medical advisor for more information about any further and perhaps necessary or recommended vaccinations. The ship does not have a doctor onboard. Therefore all passengers, regardless of age, must present a clean medical certificate from their physician prior to boarding, which confirms that they are in good health and able to travel on a freighter without regular medical care. The age limit is 75. Passengers must be able to negotiate stairs well because accommodations and public facilities are spread over several decks and there is no elevator. SAILING SCHEDULE As a rule, there is min. one departure a month. Please refer to the schedule overview for estimated sailing dates as either provided in the Internet at www.rickmers-line.com or upon request from Rickmers-Line. All dates are approximate and subject to change. Passengers kindly take into account that ports may be added to or dropped from the itinerary on short notice and that cargo operations in ports where general cargo will be loaded/discharged may take longer than originally planned. For this reason, projected sailing/arrival dates given at booking time may vary from the final itinerary. The advantage on the other hand is that passengers may look forward to interesting port stays and extensive shore excursions on this trip due to these special cargo requirements.
