FLASH NEWS Four Seasons Dubai Resort Opening Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts has formally announced plans for the Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach, scheduled to welcome its first guests in mid-2014. We have been working on establishing a presence in Dubai for many, many years, and we are delighted to have found the ideal location, CEO and President of Four Seasons Kathleen Taylor told a group of media and officials assembled at the Dubai Marina Yacht Club yesterday. Dubai is a market unlike any other, but we are confident that we will have a market leader when the resort opens in 2014, she added. The 237-room resort will occupy an 11-acre plot of beachfront land along the north end of Dubai s scenic Jumeirah Beach Road, which will give guests access to 270 m of beachfront. The location is also in close proximity to some of Dubai s most iconic attractions, such as the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall. Created with both leisure and business travellers in mind, the Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach has been designed by world-renowned architect WATG, with interior design by San Francisco-based BAMO. The 237 rooms will include 49 suites, and the resort s grounds will include three restaurants, indoor and outdoor pools, spa and private beach club. Unique to Dubai, the 1,200 sq m function space, which includes a 600 sq m ballroom and five meeting rooms, will have beachfront access. The project, which is currently under construction, is a joint venture between Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, UAEbased Bright Start L.L.C., and development manager H&H Investment and Development. Talha Al Hashimi, CEO of Bright Start, said: Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has set the benchmark in luxury hospitality over the past 50 years and we are proud to introduce the brand to the Dubai market. With a key strategic location on Jumeirah s beachfront and a renowned brand name that is synonymous with luxurious travel, we are confident its presence will be a successful addition to the luxury hospitality sector in Dubai, which is one of the world s top destinations, with 8.8 million visitors expected in 2012.
Nikki Beach in Lebanon Nikki Beach Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to open a 25-villa boutique hotel, spa and signature Nikki Beach Club on the Damour coastline in Lebanon. The luxury brand that is most famous for its beach clubs located around the world has teamed up with Lebanese developer Zardman Real Estate and hopes to have the hotel and spa up and running in 2013. Tarek Zard, chairman of Zardman Real Estate said, "Aside from the obvious benefit to the Lebanese economy, with job creation and large amounts of real-estate investment, Nikki Beach is part of our ambitious plan to expand and create new projects all over Lebanon as well as abroad".
