Camp Crowell/Hilaka Richfield, Ohio Hilaka is 137 acres of wooded, gently rolling hills with hiking trails. It is adjacent to Camp Julia Crowell, a 243 acre camp. The varied terrain supports challenging and interesting hiking, exploration of a variety of habitats, creek hiking, snowshoeing, sledding, boating, fishing and off road biking. High and low ropes courses are available. Both camps are completely fenced with key entry gates for security. Centrally located within easy access of I-71, I-77 and I-271, the camps offer a variety of camping levels to suit every need. This is particularly attractive for SU events where attendees come with different experience levels. Crowell/Hilaka is located close enough to civilization to take advantage of local programming, yet secluded enough to immerse campers in nature. The historical landmarks and girl-friendly technology (bouncy floor & mill) create a living classroom where learning is fun.
