ANNAPURNA (NEPAL) BASE CAMP TREK From $2890* per person Black Dog Institute is partnering with Sicily Escape on the Annapurna (Nepal) Base Camp Trek Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu. Welcome to the country of Mt Everest! As you arrive in Tribhuvan International airport, you will be met by representatives who will transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu. Upon arrival the hotel staff will complete the check into your accommodation. All trekkers will be invited to a welcome dinner in the hotel that evening to meet the team. Day 02: Sightseeing and trekking preparation. Today you will be completing a valley sightseeing tour before we start our trek. After breakfast you will be driven towards Pashupatinath, located approximately 5km east of Kathmandu which will take approx. 30 mins. You will have free time to wander around the famous Hindo Temple where thousands of devotees and Saddhus perform daily rituals. After completing the sightseeing in you will take a 15 min drive to reach Baouddhanath where taking a stroll you will hear the chanting of the monks and creaking of prayer wheels. Moving on we spend memorable moments in Boudhanath. Late in the evening we will visit some highlights of Kathmandu. Three of the above places are listed under the World Heritage sites by UNESCO. Inclusions: Accommodation & breakfast Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara drive by Bus 6 hrs After breakfast we leave Kathmandu and drive to Pokhara. On the way there is plenty of time to enjoy the views while we travel along the river. Transfer to your hotel. 1
Day 04 Nayapul and trek to Tikhe Dhunga (1495m) Leaving after breakfast we drive for an hour to Naya Pul. Our trekking starts from here where we walk 3-4 hours to reach Tikhe Dhunga. The trail is not difficult although this is the start of our climb. Stay in Tikhe Dhunga guest house Day 05 Tihe Dhunga to Ghorepani Trek (2860m) 6 hrs Our trekking starts uphill to Ghorepani. The astonishing view of high Himalayas and beautiful landscape is a pleasant experience. The journey follows through settlements and terraced fields.lodge in Ghorepani Day 06: Ghorepani to Tadapani Trek (2520m.) 6-7 hrs. Today, we will trek for more than 6 hours to reach Tadapani. We pass through a forest and continue along the river side. For the energetic you will have the opportunity to hike to Poonhill to obtain the photographic scenes of natural landscape. The mountains are seen glowing while walking through the route to Tadapani. We stay overnight in a lodge in Tadapani. Inclusions: Breakfast lunch and dinner Day 07: Tadapani to Chhomrong Trek (2020m.) On this day, we have a descending walk to Kemrung Stream. After crossing the forest of rhododendron, we walk towards Chhomrong across Gurung village. Chhomrong offers us the close-up view of Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Mt. Annapurna, Virgin Peak and Hiunchuli. We will have free time so that you can explore the Chhomrong area. Overnight stay in a lodge. Day 08: Chhomrong to Himalaya Hotel Trek (2850m.)- 6 hrs. Today s trekking trail follows Chhomrong River and we start to ascend. On the route, we cross through rhododendron forest and reach Dovan. The picturesque view of the natural beauty follows us while we trek. Remaining afternoon and the evening is to wander around Dovan. We spend a night in the Himalaya Hotel. 2
Day 09: Himalaya Hotel to MBC Trek (3700m.) Our days trekking trail heads to Machhapuchhre Base Camp. The route is extremely pleasant with the views of the photographic scene of the landscape and snowcapped mountains. It is about 6 hours walk to reach the destination, if we increase our speed we can have free time when we reach the lodge. We stay overnight at lodge in MBC. Day 10: MBC to Annapurna Base Camp trek (4130m.) After having a hot breakfast, the trekking trail continues to Annapurna Base Camp. The area is known as Annapurna Sanctuary which is covered with lofty mountains. The area gives an astonishing view of Annapurna I, Annapurna South and Barah Shikhar. We spend night in a guest house and dine with a traditional potato soup and Gurung bread which is specially for preventing the effects of cold. Overnight at Lodge. Day 11: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo Trek (2300m.) 6hrs. Today our trek is retrieve back from Annapurna Base camp to Bamboo. Trekking at Annapurna South and high Himalayan peaks makes most trekkers want to spend more time at base camp where you feel intoxicated with the beauty of nature. We enjoy pleasant walking through forests and passing though some villages provide chances to explore the area. We stay overnight in a guest house in Bamboo. Day 12 Bamboo to Jhinu Danda Trek (1780m) 5 hrs Our trek today is Jhinu Dandu. The trek is descending from Jhinu Dandu which is hardly noticeable while enjoying the scenic beauty. The panoramic views are impressive and the highlight of today is watching the sunset over the mountains. Day 13 Jhinu Danda to Nayapul Trek and drive back to Pokhara Final day of our trek. We trek to Nayapul from Jhinu Danda and end our trek here. You will be driven back to Pokhara and have time to explore the beauty of it. Day 14 Drive back to Kathmandu After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu. Transfer to your hotel for leisure time. We have a celebration dinner that evening. 3
Day 15 Bid goodbye to your visit in Nepal. Our representative will take you to the international airport.
