Little Philmont Priesthood Youth Leadership Conference September 8-9, 2017 Sponsored by: Utah South Area of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in conjunction with the Utah National Parks Council, Boy Scouts of America
UTAH SOUTH AREA ELDER DALE H. MUNK August 15, 2017 Dear Priesthood Holder, Welcome to Little Philmont, sponsored by the Utah South Area of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in conjunction with the Utah National Parks Council. Thank you for taking the time from your busy schedule to be with us for the next 20 hours. We hope that you enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Tifie Camp and are able to relax a bit as we discuss this very important subject, the older boy programs of the Church. While there is much youth-related material that we could discuss, we will try to narrow our focus to best practices regarding our 14-18 year-old young men. In every successful Church assembly, there are three things that should be present: 1) good content, 2) vertical inspiration directly from Heavenly Father to each participant, and 3) a resolve to act. I sincerely pray that you will be open to the promptings of the Spirit as they relate directly to your stake and ward. All stakes and wards are not alike, and the revelation that you receive at Little Philmont will be just for you. It is our intent that the discussions at Little Philmont be participative. I hope that you will share your experiences with the presenters and one another as a means to edify us all. Thank you again for being with us. Love, Elder Dale H. Munk Chairman, LDS-BSA Relationships, Utah South Area, UNPC
